Looking for JTW campaigns
« on: June 22, 2016, 03:16:07 AM »

Hello. This is my first post on this site, so please be nice :)

I know there's Mud Movers and some Monty's Campaigns, but are there any others? Especially those from late 60s, 70s?

You could test these in CUP, I think most of the stuff it uses should be in JTW:

Thanks for this post. I've been looking for more JTW missions. Anyone planning to make more modern ones with the F-16 or B-52 bomber?

Not sure about F-16 but B-52 cockpits are not very good modelled (IMHO) so hardly suitable for a campaign unless in AI role.

And we can always make our own missions...  ;) It's fun.

Thanks Dimlee, you nailed it again!

Having created the tools and setting - CUP - The Jet Age provides a huge world in which to set detailed historic and modern jet combat.

Being very familiar with Strike Fighters Project One, I would have loved to have tools like FMB for that sim.  Nowadays its the mods in Il2 CUP that set the standard.

In this format; 412 CUP - The Jet Age is still new.  Less than a year old really.  It is so far ahead of anything else, with the latest SASEngineMOD, Jet Code, Weapons and a million other fixes and innovations, that everything else outside of 412 CUP - The Jet Age, with regard to Jet Fighters and Helicopters in Il2, is obselete by comparison.

That's why there are no conversions to do.  Team Daidalos has never touched, or even heard of, the advanced modern jet code modelled at SAS.  There are no 'old' F/A18, Harrier or Bekkah Valley F-16 Campaigns to just grab.

We are the pioneers. - You who are reading this have the tools. - Now we all have to make the new material.

I was able to finally complete my Screaming Eagles campaign and some essential training missions.

New material, missions and campaigns will originate here. - Its up to us to make them...

Monty, thanks for reminder about those campaigns of yours. I saw them in 2015 but postponed as I didn't have JTW. Installed JTW recently, so it's time to try. May be I'll finally learn how to drive those jets with their crazy speeds and blackouts...
