File-lists on their own don't mean much even to me.

I was just going through the P47's  In the QMB-Armor-Slovakia missions & noticed that when I got to the:  P47D, 1944 / Thunderbolt MK ll, 1944,
Republic P-47D, 1944 & the Republic P-47D-30, 1944 that these 4 aircraft did a horrible left to right back & forth shashay motion while firing the MG's.
all of the others were fine though.

Anyone else notice this?

This is a well known feature of the original mod set.

Papa - Are you flying the aircraft when this happens, or is it the AI? I've seen the autopilot do things like that in various types of aircraft in the stock sim. Sometimes "George" just seems to get bored.  :)

EDIT: Monty and I posted simultaneously, so I changed a couple of words in this post.

Negative EHooD..I am flying the acft myself...  I rarely let George do it because I"m to selfish to let the  co-pilot fly..

I flew each P47 from the 1st acft myself in the QMB Slovakia  Armor mission, and gave myself a good long descent to a line of
German column type 1..  The old originals were steady firing and the others that I mentioned were uncontrollable...Try it yourself
and you will see what I mean...

Already discussed on the Jugs Reloaded thread:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,39846.0.html

There is no issue with the inclusion of this mod in C.U.P.  There is nothing wrong with your C.U.P. install in this regard.  Its a feature of the original mod.  The 'shimmy' doesn't really kick in until after a longer than 2.5 to 3.0 second burst.  I would rarely hold the trigger down that long, preferring short accurate bursts to conserve ammo.  It is quite possible to do well with the Jugs despite some of their peculiar characteristics.

Dear Mike,
Firstly let me to thank You for this excellent mod. Yr Jugs are superb.
Concerning P-47D-27/-30 behaviour let me ask You with all respects if there is possibility to reduce their instability when the guns are fired. Allied forces used thousands and thousands bubble-top P-47D-27/-30 for the moment when P-47D-40 was produced. They fought with success but it could be impossible without effective weapons.
P-47D-27/-30 of this excellent mod are too instable , it is practically impossible to hit targets.

That's intentionally implemented for the early bubble-top Jugs (-27, -30) which suffered a lot from yaw instability (causing a kind of "sway" during cruise flight) which got extremely worse when the guns were fired. The pilots claimed much about this annoying behaviour and eventually got their issues solved with the introduction of the dorsal fin extension on the -40 series (later retrofitted in field to earlier Jugs too).

Best regards - Mike

!S  Monty27..

Thank you for taking the time to answer my Jug sashaying (sway) post.
The acft in question fit the actual pilots reported all the way, right up to the -40 series with the dorsal fin extension which stops that side-to-side movement.

Mikes explanation says it all...Thank you for that very interesting bit of history...

And WOW...What a huge difference that small bit of dorsal makes with aircraft control-ability while flying and firing the MG's...

Also, thanks for reminding me Monty...I have gotten into the BAD habit of holding the trigger finger to long...

Yep, blazing away!  Try short bursts, it really helps!  8)

Hi Monty: In updating DCG, I noticed that the Fi-103 V-1, 1942 is missing and the Bf 109G2 CRP, 1943 R1/U2 load out is hosed. Just an FYI. Thanks for your continuous labor of love.

This sounds like a problem with your campaign, any details?
