  Check ebay, I got a CH flightstick Pro throttle and CH Pedals with MSFlight sim X, Flanker 2.0 and Apache Havoc with add on, all for $40

go for it, mate - even if your first stick might not be the greatest, at the very least it will let you see just how superior a stick is than a mouse.
i say this for proper simulators - if you play any 'flight game' that flies 'nicely' with a mouse, then you can be assured that it's way more 'game' than 'sim' .... ;)
