60% crash (Steam 4.13 w/Modact)

Hello everyone, I just got back into IL2 46 and was delighted to find this site and these great mods. I got it through steam, patched to 4.13 and got Modact 6.0. I was having no issues modding: I made some planes flyable (already existing planes in the game) and added some ships (Yorktown Class carriers mod). However, when I try to add new planes, I get a 60% crash. I did everything in the 5-60-70% crash troubleshooting guide, but it seems any time I try to add a new plane thats not already in the game it crashes at 60%.

I don't understand the problem. Are some mods not compatible with 4.13/6.0 or am I doing something wrong? I followed all the steps properly and double checked.

    Looks a planes in load list dont find all necessary files, please check https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,13457.0.html

   Try to unistall the last plane you install.

You might want to try the Direct2Drive patch:

If that doesn't help, please post the contents of your log.lst when the game crashed.

in the Tech Help section, you'll find some sticky topics that detail how to post up your log.lst info if needed.

I tried the D2D, didn't work, but good to have with the Steam version.

I couldn't find a file named console, but there is one named initlog.

ah darn - sorry mate, one of our anti-spam measures is that new members need to have 5 posts before they can post any links/code. etc.
so please just make 5 posts (3 more, by the looks of it) and then you can post the log info.
the stuff you've posted is useless. usually, the relevant info is toward the bottom of the log, say the last 1/3 or so....

No problem!

That was the entire log. I'm pretty sure I looked at the wrong thing. But all I can find is one file titled 'eventlog' (just has mission log info) and another one titled 'initlog.' The code I posted was from init log. Other than those two I don't see any other kind of log file. I'm looking in my main IL2 46 folder and even searched for it in the other folders.

the log file by default, is 'log.lst'  - that is the one we need.
eventlog and initlog are no good.
You might also need the Instant Log mod, that allows the log to be completed when the game crashes.
make sure to read the info in those sticky threads, as i said - it shows you how to make sure your log is properly set up.

I can't find a log.lst file. I searched everyone in my IL2 main folder and even all the subfolders :(

hmm...that's strange, it usually sits in the main game folder, stock/modded game, makes no difference, that's where it should be....
check the settings in your conf.ini file (also in game root folder), under the section:

[Console]        you should find some settings, make sure they're set up like mine:

HISTORY=1024
HISTORYCMD=1024
LOAD=console.cmd
SAVE=console.cmd
LOG=1              (if yours is set to 0, this may be why you have no log.lst)
LOGTIME=1       (this puts a time-stamp on log entries)
LOGFILE=log.lst (you can name this as you like, either with lst or txt extension, that will be the name of the log file)
LOGKEEP=0       (if this is set to 1, your log will keep adding info each time you play the game, not a good idea, as it may soon become huge in size. on 0 setting, it resets each time)

Doh! I didn't change the Log and logtime each to 1, both still at 0. Could've swore I changed them, but maybe I skipped them by mistake. I got a log file now. Next post I'll show the code that comes up.
