Happiness is getting all 16 parts of #WAW flowing like a smooth light wind right down the runway on a clear cool day...ha ha

...NOT try and install stuff that doesn't come with a concise file path...otherwise I am sure to put the pieces in the wrong order...hence,  the messed up install...

@ PapaG39
We all do that my friend.  That's why CUP is modular and backed up in stages.  With a clean setup it really is un-breakable.  That is; its always possible to step it back and 'un-break' it.  But putting anything in there requires Quarantaine from the rest of the module until tested thoroughly

Lately I have been enjoying actually flying it and building missions in FMB.  ;D

I think the skin for the Dragonfly34 is like the Sky Raider...

@RustyDawg
I see what you mean - advise start with the actual mods.  You only need the 3do/planes folders.  Keep them loaded high in #TGA and they won't break anything.  The folders will be fairly small and easy to work with this way.  I guess you want a more neutral *.tga for the wings to match a variety of skins or one perfect skin for all occasions.  I think the later variants are more integral.

Where do I find the Mod of the Dragonfly34 3do plane folder, I looked everywhere for it. I looked in all the SFS-TGA files, SFS-WAW, SFS-DOF files, and the SFS-JTW files but couldn't find the Dragonfly34 and 36a. Did Paulus post Dragonfly's somewhere in the past? I know they have the static models.

I tried to make a skin TGA and it wouldn't show, only the bmp files show the skins in the game.

Thank you for the advise,

You didn't look everywhere or you would have found it.  I don't know 'off the top of my head'.  I do know its in TGA.  Therefore its in one of the TGA SFSs and I would have to carry out the same excercise to find it.  Only I would not give up.

I did advise re-downloading the original source mod.  This is FAR simpler than decompiling an SFS, assuming you can find the right SFS.

The original mod can easily be found, downloaded and placed, as I suggested, into the #TGA folder.  Once there it will take priority over any SFS files, allowing you to experiment and work in the folder to your hearts content.

Once you have a new wing texture and set of skins we can look at them, try them out, take some screenies and test a fair bit before we consider writing them into SFS format.  We then either locate the old files in one of the 17 SFS files in SFS_TGA, or compile the new data into the latest update, where it will assume load priority and enable the changes that were made.

This is excactly how I work.  Honestly, with thousands of mods I do not store this stuff and don't have a magic folder to hand over the file you need.  I fill up my hard drives every week and have to constantly clean them out in order to make room for more material.  My best backup and storage is C.U.P. itself.

In the case of a previous mod you need to re-visit, look it up, find where it comes from and start again.

Thank You Monty27, I'll check out the SFS-TGA files again and go a little slower.

I don't understand what you mean by "re-downloading the original source mod.", Do you mean the original plane that Paulus made?

I looked in all of the countries planes list and didn't see it, even the WIP forum.

How did you find Paulus's Dragonfly34 and 36a?

By the way, the panel finder covers all of the Dragonfly 36a, I can get somewhere with that.

Thanks in advance,

I found the original Mod in Freemodding just googled Paulus Dragonfly 34 airplane download and there it was. I'll work with that and let you know how it turns out.

Should I put my results in another forum like the skins forum?

Thanks again,

That's the way mate!  Yes share what you find and post some nice pics.  We could incorporate it all later on when ready, good work so far.

I'm going to try to make a special skin folder in the TGA mod folder with the 4 skins needed to make the plane the same color.

It uses the MC-202 for the wings, a DW-510 for the fuselage, a Spitfire for some other odds and ends, and a P-26 for the wheel pants.

It will take a while to figure that out, I'll probably lay it out like the 3do folder in the mod source file.

I did something similar with a prop for the P-40. I made it silver with a yellow tip (the spinning part) for the static with the engine off I just painted the skin.

Get back to you later.

All the best,

Hi all
After the last update the Ju88 A4 doesn't work correctly. You can assign a number of aircraft but it's not recording and with the weapons the same, there is an error.

Thanks for your SUPERB WORK & EFFORTS.

Happy Christmas for all!!!

Note: Include the maps for Poland 1944 & 1945 and Silessia ;)

hi Darth Ju-88A4 works fine here, suggest you re-download / re-install everything you installed since your last test. Files can sometimes corrupt during download and extraction

Big statement - slim data.  You can help with more detail.  But it checks out here OK too.
