I'd guess that it's an Arkangelski (sp?) Ar-2 tricycle gear tested, but that still doesn't explain the braces under the fuselage...

surely they was brave to fly over desert 1000km in that thing!

Te model also works of shark patrol on beaches! cool job.

This specific plane was modified as ambulance; and ended up lost after landing a marsh that appeared as field of grass.

The crew survived and was 33 days lost and were helped by the local tribe.
