I installed the campaign, but when I try to generate it I get a beep and nothing happens. I found this error log:

It looks like you haven't set the third party campaign folder. Try this:

Exit the game.
Open DCG. Select Files --> Optional Third Party Data Folder

Open the WarOverItaly folder:

Select allcampaigns.dcg


Exit DCG. Now run the game and try to start the campaign. You will only need to do this the first time you start a career in the campaign.

Yes, I did that. It shows up under German, RAF, and USAAF campaigns bbut it will not load. I will play the settings some more and see if I can get it going.

Let me see if I  can reproduce it. What is the nation, subcampaign, and aircraft combination you are trying?

It appears to be working fine with VP Modpack (at least so far). Though I have the early lightnings personally added to it, i haven't added them to DCG yet, and it seems like DCG is just subbing in the P-38J when necessary (though I think you have the P-38F slated for Operation Huskie? idk, but anyway, it is working okay :) )

I am working on Vp versions of a number of my campaigns but suffered a complete  hard drive failure a few days ago. Rest assured I will resurrect what I  can. I will start reinstalling  Il-2 this weekend and see what is left. Yes I  know I should have backups. I will next time!

Thanks for the sympathy but I should have known better; I have learned my lesson about backing up and now have two 1-terabyte usb drives that get weekly use at a minimum. I am up and running again now so new campaigns are in the works.

Well, finally got around to installing CUP, and I gotta say that your campaign looks better (any map VP modifies always looks great)  and runs better (much better fps) through VP Modpack vs CUP. Idk what it is specifically with CUP and fps, but I think I will stick as much as I can to VP Modpack campaigning. I do wish you the best with any/all VP Modpack conversions and campaigns you create too. :)

For CUP I would recommend setting squadron density to Moderate to achieve decent frame rates. With the VPN media pack you can run the highest settings without any problems.  I should probably put that information in the readme.
