P-11g Kobuz (Hobby)
Developed as a stop-gap to fill in for delayed P.Z.L. P.50 fighters by strengthening the structure to absorb the power of a single 840 hp Mercury VIII, with an enclosed cockpit and wings taken from the P-24,engine cowling and prop taken from P.50 prototype. The converted P.11c prototype flew for the first time on 15 August 1939, less than a month before the German invasion, forcing abandonment of the programme.Aircraft took part in combat in September 1939, scored two victories, later evacuated east.
Further fate of this aicraft remains mystery, some sources says its been damaged in combat and later destroyed by retreating ground forces, some says its been evacuated to Romania together with other Polish aircrafts and lost there in 1942.
