The title says it all, this Pack is a dedicated compilation of GM FM-1/2 Wildcats and late Hellcats in US Naval service in WWII.

All Skins are historical, trapped on celluloid or so called Ouija Boards (no Joke!).

As for all ASWI/II type kites in this and other Packs to come (Avengers), I doubt some unit/vessel allocation,
as they are hard to trace on pictorial source only. For some I found different captions, not
knowing which was the exact source, please understand the mess. What could be the source for this,
that some Composite Units were splitted to different CVE's, hence Markings of neighbouring units slightly differed,
but not that much to trace it's exact location.
Nevertheless I took care to assemble the correct Vessel/Unit combination through wartime documents and with
the data published. For the regular G-Markings we need no further explaining, they're well preserved in history.

That's it for long Bla-Bla, hope you enjoy the Skins.
Generics and Blanks are scarse in this Pack, simply for the sake, there are enough around that serve this particular purpose.

Atm. I'm working on a major update on the Atlantic Fleet of the Wildcats.
Update will be out at the end of the Week.
It'll be a complete overhaul.

Hm, wait must crawl up the external storage... Yupp, found some.
Corsairs so far only FAA/ANZACs in the works, ~ 50 Skins, good that you mention or
I would have completely forgot about them. I wish to work on them a bit,
as they're book references only atm., haven't finished web-crawling yet.
First blinkin up @ mighty Guhgle showed up to be very resourcefull,
expect a few more additions then. US Corsairs are not planned, as they were traced
down in the past over and over. FAA/RN/ANZACS really need a kick to bloat the Skin folders,
as there are tons of historical sources, but few Skins.

Hello fellow SAS Gents

included this time an update to VC-97 FM-2 Wildcats off USS Makassar Strait CVE-91.
Their paintjob was rather unusual spoiling a not completely up to standards
applied overall glossy sea blue. Hence some kites only partially and/or thinnly got
it applied and soon got caught by wheathering. Present state of these historical Skins is around Springtime 1945/PTO.
I added a few more Hellcats to USS Randolph historicals 24 and 63, USS Langley got expanded with a whole lot of historicals too.

and I second what you think about US Corsairs, although some more late war CV based USMC Corsairs would be nice to get too;
but then again, FAA Corsair, yeaahhh yummy

So to say, sorry no US Corsairs, FAA/ANZACS only.
US is most relevant on that type, I know, but the Brits came very short,
only a few Skins done so far and that definitely will be changed.
Will take a lil while. Just as we speak I'm browsing
navsource.org and other related sites for even more FM/GM Wildcats,
I just say we couldn't have enough. Flying this kite personally attracts me atm.
it's a lil hummingbird to fly.

Slight correction, theres no ANZAC's in regards to the Corsair, the RNZAF used them but no RAAF unit. ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corp) refers to the WWI contingiant that went to Gallipoli in 1915.
