Back in 2012 I requested the wingfold sound for all planes that have folding wings in DBW. Tiger had the sound in his sound mod. This is a cut out the two classfiles and sound files from Tigers sound mod from years ago.

I tried to get this working in 4.12 when 4.12 was released but could not understand why it would not work. Well, after looking through the classfiles I came to the dumbest but most simple answer. Rename the folder so 4.12 reads it first. 

It had a _# that was replaced with !!!!!! so now all planes in 4.12 that have folding wings now have sound inside and outside of the plane.

I claim no credit other than renaming the folder so it works. LOL 

All credit goes to Tiger and I thank him very much for it.

I could give you a big wet kiss on the lips for this Bombs. I've been screwing around trying to get Tiger's old wing fold sound to work again for years. Now I can finally take this off my things to do but I'm just not smart enough to do it list. Thanks!

It wasn't smart. LOL All it took was renaming the folder. Sometimes the dumbest thing is the right thing. LOL

I noticed the you only get the sound when the wings fold, and not when they unfold on the TBF & F4F
Is this the way it is set up?
With the Zero, you get the sound both fold and unfold.
It seems you get the sound with manual fold AC also, like the F4F & Zero.
Those are the only three that I've checked.

Not sure about the TBF and F4F. I'll look at their class file. Yes, I love the tail hook sound.

Hi Bombsaway, sorry for the stupid question, but where do I put this file? I put it in #SAS as !!!!!!wing fold and as Wingfold for 4.12 but none of them worked.

I Put It As It Is And At The Top Of My Sas Folder. This Also Gives The Bomb Bay Door Sound And The Tire Screech On Landing.

I tried the planes you mentioned and I see what you mean but if you wait a few seconds after you fold the wings before you unfold them, the sound is there. It seems this give the stress sound when flying as well. I will look into what else it gives.

Yes, that works, but what's even stranger is that if I hit the fold key too quick, and the wings unfold without sound, if I quickly hit the fold key again, I get the sound....

That's IL2... nothing is perfect. LOL
