God Thank You Guys!
Took me last 3 hours to get it going Though and there are bound to be a few who struggled as its not the most straight forward install we've had in the last 10 years.
Absolutely superb, but in the hope of HELPING Others, who are still struggling, here's what I missed the first time, as the instructions are vague to say the least given its new complexity etc? and this is NO Criticism I am in Awe of the makers, Anyhow I

1.downloaded All the files listed and replaced spent 1 hour trying to work out where exactly there were supposed to go? as it just said "make sure your running x version , latest, etc, etc," Running from where? No usual ini files or ru files where included so after about 8 re visits and re reads i try first to place it in the #SAS folder
Turns out this is like a clever quiz where, if you dare to miss one little thing in your excited rush to play, you wont play at all. I missed the ENGINE MOD 2.7 PATCH So if your game loads and gets into the final startup screen after choosing the F-18 or AV Harier then freezes at 100% start up its probably because you missed the
2.7 engine mod PATCH NOT the 2.7 engine mod alone.
Now at time of writing (like 3 hours 20 mins after flying these Superb Edition's to our beloved il2) I have the planes flying and everything work fine
until you try to fire a missile or the AI tries to fire a missle as then the game freezes. YES I have the latest Modern missile pack and its in my #SAS folder and i tried it in my JSGmodes too.
So either its a bug not reported yet or you have the answer for me?
Hope someone else reports it tonight cant wait to battle .

while i was typing silly4you posted the same problem
Whenever i press the button to fire missles,the game crashes.
