hi, ive had 1946 for about a year now and only done the patches for it. i started trying to mod , and yes, i have read the tutorials, but i just cant figure it out. ive got yhe 4.101 megapatch from mission4today and the sas modact 3.06. when ever i try to add a plane, it loads to 70 percent and then crashes, and like i said, ive read the tutorials and just cant figure out what im doing wrong.

Did you tryed to add teh air.ini lines that are inside de STD folder?

Hello,Im new in here and im playing il2 since 2003, Ive always did the patch but didnt play online too much,maybe 2 hours max. Anyway, Now i bought a descent PC and looking for mods. I also tried a mod il2-1956 but unfortunately its too confusing for me,I hope I could figure it out. YEEHAA

This is a pack with a lot of ini entryes, You might try to install one plane so you see where air.ini goes and plane.ru and weapon .ru.
It is really nothing to it when you got used to it. Remember to copy/ backup any ini file before altering it. In modact and packs you will have a Folder called Mods or #SAS or #DBW in there You find STD Folder ini files are in the Objectsfolder inside several subfolders, Buttons are inside Gui/Game and Ru are in i18n.

Yesterday I figured it out, I read the guide and added the texts in the .ini files which i missed before. I think the mod pack should include the .ini files too.

Edit:Mod Pack includes the .ini list texts inside of the Readme.txt file. I didnt realize that sorry.

We all has been new to modding the game, and it is kind of chaotic at firs to add mod. Once you get the heng of it , you know how not to mess up your game. By my own mistakes I will say spend one more day reading and find out what you want before modding your game. Reinstalls just kills the fun.
By the way, this isnt Call of Duty, there is no Noob's here

k, i think i kinda figured it out when i got the ar-234c2 to load (i might have jumped up and down a bit), but thats after deleting the modact and replacing it with UP3. so, felt confident, and wentto download jetman in its own slot ( not sure if i need the diff fm mod, witch i have, but cant figure out where to put it. its sitting in th main directory now), and got the 70% crash. i deleted it and felt sad. sniffle. i have up3rc4 and plutonium v2 i think. some help would be great, and i may reward you with a cookie, unless your CirX and feed people to malone. i dont like cannibles!

yes, my motto is a throwback to the ol' 2000AD comics, i should use something new, perhaps.
don't worry about being nooby, we all experience it at some point. i may be pretty well informed after being involved in this community since day one, but i am also a member of other sites where i am definitely a noob amongst noobs!  .
all good for a laugh, far as i'm concerned, there's no shame in it. noobs one an' all!
