Considering this is a frankenplane - it really is a masterpiece, I never would have thought something like this is possible to do in this way. Thank you a lot mr. Ranwers, if I ever meet you in person I'd be glad to buy you a couple of beers!

Looks awesome and feels the same way  8).
But I sure hope that the bomb-sight issue can be solved...

If not, the plane can only be used either as ai or on Falaise missions.

OMG !

Simple:
Open Pilot2.mat (in notepad) and change
line:

TextureName ..\Textures\GB4.tga

to

TextureName GB4.tga

Thats all :)
All will be solved in v2 mod.

Is it possible to increase the bomb load on the Lancaster? The Mk.III could carry up to 14,000 lbs of bombs onboard, 14 x 1,000 lb'ers or up to 18 x 250\500 lbers. I also have a rather nice picture of a Lanc being loaded with a 4,000 lb cookie and a whole host of 500 lb'ers.
Also as a suggestion, would it be possible to change the bombsight to the American Norden sight? By the time the Mk.III Lanc entered service in late '43, the inaccurate Course Setting Bomb Sight had been replaced by the automated and stabilised Mk XIV bomb sight.

Keep up the good work Ranwers, it's very much appreciated.

Also it would be nice to add the cookie bomb.
And yes they did use the 4000 pound blast bomb from what i could find without adding the boulge doors, theese doors where added to carry the 8000 and 12000 pound cookie bombs.
here is a link to a page i found.

The 8,000 lb HC bomb was literally 2 cookies joined together end to end, it didn't need the bomb bay dooors 'bulge'. I think if memory serves me, Ranwers did add the cookie to the Lanc's bomb load. BTW FoxBat, that's a great find on the website.

Ty Moggy.
And yes they didnt need the bulge for the 8000 lb cookie bomb when looking at the website i found but info on a other place (wiki) says it did for the 8000 and 12000 lb cookie.
Then it all depends on whoms right i guess and if someone can agree on it!:)
But it shurly shows that the bomb loadout for the lancaster is alot larger/different then what we have ingame.
This puzzles me a little as from what ive been reading on the different forums is what they want with theese new slot planes. and that amongst other things give the planes the correct historical loadouts they used!:)

I cant se that Ranwers has added the cookie to the lancs bomb load as i can see on the first post, but i accually asked for it in the beginning of this topic and was told that only the lancs with the bulges had the cookies.
Well as thats proven wrong it would be nice to see them added and also the indercery bombs too!:)

I do know what you mean, 2 of my books are contradicting eachother about the "bulge". 1 says it was only needed for the Tallboy and Grand Slam. But it doesn't really matter as we don't (as far as I'm aware) have the 8,000 lb bomb anyway.
There may be reasons why the bombload is lower than it should be, game limitations etc. and I'm looking forward to an update for this excellent addition to the RAF arsenal.

Wow, what an incredible belly, 6000lbs, took me all along the Bessarabia AB to get it up. If it should carry 8000 or 12000lbs how should I take off without rushing into the runway fence???, omg. This plane deserves it to be up on IL-2, and in its best, please fix every issue, this is case sensitive. Great work, a formidable lady, Thanks to you

If it was a Mk.I special, it could carry a 22,000 lbs Grand Slam bomb!
