Let me propose a replica of Spitfire Mk.VIII FB of AAA/UI 1.1 for ModAct 5.30/4.12. I has unified FM and 3D model with default Spitfire Mk.VIII and new default skins (credits to JESTERS-INK for template).

http://www.mediafire.com/download/777c919di6jm0am/plane_SpitfireVIII_AAA_UI_1.1_4.12.zip

Unfortunately retractable tail wheel of AAA/UI 1.1's Spit Mk.VIII doesn't work properly in 4.12, although I tried to fix it. So I was forced temporary to replace it with external tail wheel. Then I hope to find solution.

But there are photos with Spitfire Mk.VIII of RAAF flying with unretracted tail wheel.

Finally it was possible to fix tail wheel problems with Spitfire Mk.VIII FB in SAS ModAct 5.30/4.12.2 using classfile 00B509F2DD168B52 from excellent CirX's mod of revised Spifire Mk.IXs (http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,18838.msg202495.html#msg202495).

Pls find link for replica of Spitfire Mk.VIIIFB which have unified FM and 3D model with default Spitfire Mk.VIII with retractable tail wheel in SAS ModAct 5.30/4.12.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/doimmtagmxs7h8f/plane_SpitfireVIII_AAA_UI_1.1_4.12_tail_fix.zip

Credits and thanks to CirX for the classfile which allowed to solve the problem.

Hi Guzknife, thanks for your addition to this plane, only in my install the tailwheel is gone completely end the canopy opening is only external.

Hello everyone, also I have no tailwheel in Spit MKVIII.
I first installed the first pack in page one, then the pack proposed by StefanSG on reply#13, then the tailfix by Stefan SG on reply#16 and at last the Guznife pack on reply#17. I always replaced files overwriting them...maybe I lost something or made some passage bad?
Thanks.

Hello Guzknife! Thank you for the reply.
I think that your pack it doesn't fix well yet, because I re-insatelled your pack and I still haven't the tailwheel. First of all I deleted my Spitfire MKVIII folder and re-download the Stefan SG (reply#16) and I saw that both type of Spit have the tailwheel. If I re-download your pack and install it I don't see any tailwheel. So I returned back to Stefan SG version.
I play 4.12.2 - 5.30.
Bye,
Poiana.

I'm sorry to hear that, dear Guzknife...
I hope you will be able to make a better add for canopy or other things.
Thanks a lot for your contribution to this marvellous game!
Bye,
Poiana.

Restore of the deleted SpitFireMkVcFB MkVcLF-FieldDropTankCyl AddOn
by zip_Comic1 aka Flyer101 aka JoHNy_SpRoCK-X:

Orig post by zip_Comic 12-Apr-2015:
Quote
SpitFire MkVcFB MkVcLF MkVcLFCLP Field Drop Tank Cylinder Addon ver1....

What you will get is the Drop Tank Cylinder from the Aboukir Spitfire mod.....available to this mods MkVcFB, MkVcLF, and MkLFcLP variants.
Also, you will get the Abbreviated Arms_British that comes with Aboukir mod.

It was a quick fix to these variants ....or reverse engineer from the Aboukir's.

Those following the Spitfire V variants may have thought of this modification already and have converted.....I did mine for some runs in the MTO and thought I should post for those who have not.

Works for me under;
4.101m mega patch
SAS Mod Act 3.06
SAS Buttons 4.10 offline
SAS Autodiff 4.111
Spitfire VCs & VIIIs from the Past installed

Note: does not include the MkVc4's........
