I've installed this campaign and also Bataille de France in my 4.09 install, ...

The key problem could be just in that also. As warned in all my campaigns readme:

"this is a standalone campaign; do not attempt to play at same time with other DGen campaigns"

each of my campaigns has an unique set of ancillary files not suited for any other campaign.

As I already said to you about these specific campaigns, the two cannot be played together: you must install (always by JSGME) first "Bataille de France", and when finished, remove it and install "The Few" to play this latter.

Sample screen to be expected starting "Bataille de France" (playing for Luftwaffe)

Hi Greybeard

I added the campaigns with JSGME and activated them one at the time.  ;)
First Bataille de France (Westfeldzug 1940) which gave the screen I've posted.
Then I removed Bataille de France (Westfeldzug 1940) and activated and tested The Few, which gave the same screen.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Thanks for any help!

Regards

Any Dgen_modERROR file?

Also your log could be helpful.

Hi Greybeard

Below is the end of my log.lst file after trying to start a BdF campaign and there are no errors.
There was no Dgen_modERROR log file. Since I couldn't generate any mission I assume no DGen log file was created.

Removing both campaigns, are you allowed to launch a stock DGen campaign?

I think:
1). If yes, cause is tied to my campaigns; could be a conflict with some other mod you have installed.
2). If not, probably your installation is defective in some way.

Hi Greybeard

I've found the problem now!
It was some missing aircraft in my edited air.ini causing the problem.  :-[
Everything is working now!  :)
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your help!

Updated to v1.2.

Introducing Spitfire Mk.I as flyable. Also featuring Ju 88A-1 and Do 17Z. Minor refinements.

Same link of first post.

Have fun!

I managed to get this working in HSFX 7.03 by renaming the Bf109E4_BoB and Hurricane Mk1_BoB entries in the campaign files. Renamed to Bf109E4 and Hurricane Mk1b.
As WindWpn suggests, use Notepad ++ to find all the entries. Don't forget to install the other aircraft needed, as indicated in the readme.

However I found that the missions don't feel very Battle of Britain.
On the British side there are long escorts of bombers deep into France, contrary to the typical historical events which as we all know, were predominantly short range intercepts and patrols over southern England & the channel, and last minute scrambles.
On the German side, I found myself escorting reconnaissance aircraft for 250km each way, (very boring) east to west across France over friendly territory on the very southern fringes of the map (nowhere near England) where the terrain goes into repeat flat landscape mode. Then encountering Hurricanes over the middle of France, in August 1940.....really?

I would have a go at remodelling the mission templates myself to better represent the actual events if I only knew how.
