Big hight altitude contrails back:












Put the "!!_BigContrailsBack" folder in your #DBW mods-folder.

Tested on IL-2 1946 4.10.1_DBW (with Tigers UV3)!


Put the "!!_BigContrailsBack" folder in your #SAS mods-folder.

Tested on IL-2 1946 4.12.2 & SAS Modact 5.30 (with SAS AI aircrafts)!


Put the "!!_BigContrailsBack" folder in your Mods folder.

Tested on IL-2 1946 4.12.2 & SAS Modact 5.30 & HSFX v7.0.2




This mod is not done by me! I've exracted the "condensate" from:

"00_A_Uranium_Edition_New_Effects_V1_Bomb_Bay_Door_Compatible_November_26_2009" mod.

I'm afraid the internal folder structure is wrong.
The file path for "CondensateTSPD.eff" in this mod is
Code: [Select]
3DO\Aircraft\CondensateTSPD.effbut it should be
Code: [Select]
3DO\Effects\Aircraft\CondensateTSPD.effin order for the game to even consider loading it.

But, if you do only any birds in hight altitude - no problem...  8)

Works with Modact 5 :)
However now I remember again what the issue was with this effects mod:
The number of particles quickly exceeds the game limits.
The game can handle one flight of 4-engine bombers when this mod is active. If there's more in the sky, then it starts to skip objects, see below:

The same thing with this mod:


Looking close you see that the game doesn't render all objects anymore, glass and props are missing as well as lots of contrails:


Nevertheless, it works within it's specified purpose.
