The problem saving missions is normally due to an object missing from the map.
Did you add the Luftwaffe Hanger objects?  --- link provided on first post of Ardennes map thread.
Did you add the text entries to the static.ini file to register the new objects?

Please tell me what should I do, for Christ sake!

lol - that kind of attitude is going to get you absolutely nowhere on this forum, mate, i can tell you that much...
i suggest to take a bit of time to read through all available info, before starting to bite the hand that tries to help...
everything you need to know is available in the forum, but we can only do so much to help - you are expected to also do a bit of reading up yourself, as we all had tyo do initially.
spoon-feeding someone through every step is something we have never, nor will ever do.
please bear this in mind - and when you need help, your previous comment, as i sad, will get you nowhere, fast.

I have found a map by Ardennes and have followed the instructions
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,34403.0.html
But when I opened up the FMB and adding an aircraft wanted to save the mission, it saves but when I click play the game won't start but just stay in the FMB
What am I misssing?  OH!!! This game is so difficult to mod and play!!!!!!!!!!! >:(
I am assuming that you are not missing objects when you say that it does save;  be sure you can reload
back-in this mission into FMB from that save. If you cant find it, it didn't save.
If that IMP part does work, you have saved, and you may have forgot to put yourself in the cockpit :
( click player [ ] in FMB /View / Object / plane1/ Player [v]  ).
You have not mentioned what plane it is.
So I'm worried when you say "it saves", and later say in stays in FMB when you "click play". If "it saves" then you
should have been able to reach the briefing screen and get stuck only when you try to arming/fly the plane.
If you are truly stuck into FMB-map-area : then it should NOT have saved, and you are actually missing objects.
PS: in JSGME don't forget to activate #SAS_Flyable AI Aircraft.

Okay, I'll go research the information then, thank you.

About finding missing objects: use link to mediafire, in post before last: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,41037.msg460718.html#msg460718

This is an important utility to have and to use if you are into map-install.

Good luck.  ;)

Before you get carried away you need to read the 1st post of the Ardennes Map properly.
Under where it says
"You donĀ“t need any instalation of mods object!" at the end of the 1st post you will see a link for an alternative version which uses stock objects only.
Also combines the bumph files.

Seems you have used the first version but not installed the two new hanger types which are noted "precisely" in the instructions.
Read everything at least twice before installing.

ASHESHOUSE

English is not my first language that's a pity.  I have frankly, difficulty in understanding his English!

I have downloaded the two Hanger zip files just now, but where are they supoosed to be placed in?

The trouble I am getting in this forum is that I am supposed top be a expert in IL-2 and its file structure but I am NOT!!

I have played Falcon 4, never have problems modding.  Also FSX, never have problems.  DCS, they don't mod, everything is ready made.

Back to the original question, now where are these hanger files supposed to go to after unzipping?  Do you have any clue, my friend?

The instructions for using the objects are not clear unless you have previous experience.

The easy way is to use the stock object version of the map as I suggested above: link as in the Ardennes Map thread  https://www.mediafire.com/download/ufm4e8g92igcev7/Ardennes_heavy_snow.7z

If you want to use the new objects then proceed as follows:

Download the two *.zip files and extract to Desktop.
You will have a MODS folder with various sub-folders inside.
Rename MODS to #SAS

Cut and paste the #SAS folder from Desktop to your IL-2 Game root folder.

Start the game to check everything is still working, then quit the game.

Look in IL-2 game root\#SAS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects for the file static.ini

Open in Text Editor and add the following lines at the bottom --- overwrite the existing //eof lines at the end.

Code: [Select]
[buildings.House$Luft_Hangar]
Title           Luftwaffe_Hangar
MeshLive        3do/Buildings/Industrial/Luft_Hangar/live.sim
MeshDead        3do/Buildings/Industrial/Luft_Hangar/dead.sim
AddHeightLive    -2.0
AddHeightDead    -2.0
Body            RockBig
Panzer          0.34

[buildings.House$TypeD-herbe]
Title           TypeD-herbe
MeshLive        3do/Buildings/Russia/Kiev/TypeD-herbe/live.sim
MeshDead        3do/Buildings/Russia/Kiev/TypeD-herbe/dead.sim
IgnoreShadowData
AddHeightLive   -6.45
AddHeightDead   -6.45
Body            RockBig
Panzer          0.1

[buildings.House$TypeD-herbe_W]
Title           TypeD-herbe_W
MeshLive        3do/Buildings/Russia/Kiev/TypeD-herbe_W/live.sim
MeshDead        3do/Buildings/Russia/Kiev/TypeD-herbe_W/dead.sim
IgnoreShadowData
AddHeightLive   -6.45
AddHeightDead   -6.45
Body            RockBig
Panzer          0.1

[buildings.House$Hangar_typeG]
Title           Hangar_typeG
MeshLive        3do/Buildings/Russia/Kiev/Hangar_typeG/live.sim
MeshDead        3do/Buildings/Russia/Kiev/Hangar_typeG/dead.sim
Body            RockBig
Panzer          0.1

//===========================================================================
// eof
//===========================================================================

Start the game and open FMB
View Object Objects   and scroll to the last objects and you will see the new hangers.
Your map should now work ok.

Back to the original question, now where are these hanger files supposed to go to after unzipping?  Do you have any clue, my friend?
TIP: If the files you unzip have 3do in it, remember what I told you in an earlier post about any path... with 3do position in it: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,42024.msg473210.html#msg473210
Once you get that, it's always the same for all mods...

update: in both unzips    MODS = #SAS \ 3do_textures = Any-Mod-By-Any-Name\ 3do = 3do \ ...et.c...

A few more tips:

You cannot play Dark Blue World on top of a 4.12 install.
Two different pairs of shoes.  ;)

You can get a one stop install for a seperate DBW game on this forum in the Dark Blue World section. E.g.
Or you stick with 4.12 and Mod Act 5.3..

And so on....one after another, or better: make your choice, no need to have every install mate. ;)

As for map installing, read here e.g.:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,37295.0.html

More general info, which gets confusing fast, so read one after another.. ;)

Keep this link until you have a bit more general feel for modding your game, a bit much at once and some stuff you do not need yet:
