Can you give me precise steps how to install Jet Era?  I really want to fly a modern jet in IL-2 environment!

Make a copy of the root folder of your IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 version 4.12.2 pure, and paste in C: \ directory.
Now install "SAS ModAct + Era Ajato" on this copy.

How do I know that it works?

I have also installed IL 1956 Jet Era 1.33 and flew Sabre.

But the max speed I reached was only 1050kmph?!

Have I missed doing something?

SAS Engine Mod must be installed ok or Jet Era Pack would not work.

I don't know much about the F86 Sabre, but speed of 1050 kph seems ok to me.
What do you think it should be?

No. Your doing OK. Congrats.
Engine mod gives new keys to program/assign in your CONTROLS section. Also more power-full catapults on carriers for jets are now available. Try FJ3M Fury. Try sidewinder missiles; you will love these ! They will tell you when to fire them with a going higher pitch buzzing sound !

No. Your doing OK. Congrats.

I am not quite sure my Jet Era is completed actually Hubberranz, according to the instructions:

Installation for 4.12.2m ONLY:
1) Make sure you are running ModAct 5.3 on Il-2 4.12.2m
2) Make sure you meet the game requirements listed above
3) Extract content to your Il-2 directory
4) Then please copy the SFS archives from SAS_SFS to SFS_AUTO folder. By doing this, there is no need to touch the RC file
5) Add the latest Hotfix (if any)
6) Add the aircraft lines below NB: If you are new to modding, please read the following guides:

7) If you wish to add the static aircraft, please use the stationary and technics entries AFTER backing up your .inis
 Run Il-2 with SAS ModAct and enjoy

I get stuck at adding the aircrafts lines.  I can't find the plane_ru and weapons_ru files.  Also when adding lines to the Air.INI, I don't get the years of the aircraft in-game.  Where is the plane_ru and weapons_ru files?

Also I put "!SAS_Engine_Mod" in #SAS and jsgmemods then run JSGME to activate it. Does "!SAS_Engine_Mod" need to be in #SAS folder?

By scenery mods do you mean maps? Have a browse in the Mapworks section https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/board,12.0.html
Ultra Pack is not compatible with v4.12.2 and any further development seems to have ceased.
Are your interests mainly for offline use or online?

PATH: #SAS \ STD \ i18n \  ... . properties

In 412.2 plane_ru.properties and weapon_ru.properties are called PLANE.PROPERTIES and WEAPONS.PROPERTIES. Modders will always refer to them as ru files ( Russian game ) because ru files are just for estetics and are not critical. Yes this will provide YEARS info in game. Yes you can write/change what you want in plane.properties; you can create your own plane"ru" lines when modders do not provide them. Excess lines, from removed mods do not matter. It simply says this name: replace it by that name; so it does nothing when "this name" doesn't exist anymore...

I did not use JSGME for installing engine mod. .. and Yes "!SAS_Engine_Mod" needs be in #SAS permanently.
You should have #SAS \ !SAS_Engine_Mod > Any-Mod-By-Any-Name\ 3do... Note the exact placement in this PATH for 3do and for classfiles like 00A5F952A58045D8 : this is the way to verify any mod is placed correctly.
A longer path wont work for any mod.
