Has anyone ever made a voice pack for Greece....or even a background screen.
As long as I'm at it, Awards and Campaigns, too.
I've gone through all my old downloads (going back over 10 years) and can't find anything.
I did discover that the code for Greece is "GR"

So now you have your task cut-out and waiting for you, Mr G. A voice pack is a big task, but the other ones are not too difficult!  ;)

There actually is (sort of) a voice pack for Greece, although it doesn't work. See the following post I had submitted and the responses to my inquiries in the DBW discussion forum entitled "Two dumb questions about radio chatter":

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,43239.msg485910.html#msg485910

I'm running DBW 1.7.1 and my samples/speech files actually contain Greek voices. But there are only five "actors" and when I give an aircraft Greek nationality, the voices are the default (British) voices.

Here's the link to the YouTube video (mentioned in the post referenced above) which demonstrates Greek voices during an Il-2 P-24 dogfight.

I've gone through all my saved files (game versions and downloads......Over 300 GB & 18 versions of IL2) and can't find a Greek voice pack....
Yes, I am a pack rat.

I wonder how this sim was sold in Greece? What was the main language?

If you have these 5 actors, could you upload them? If 9 actors are required, some could be duplicated.

What follows is a link to the foreign language section (Greece) at the UltraPack forum which I have just located. Contained in one of the posts is a link, in turn, for the Greek (Hellenic) voice pack described above. I do not believe this is the direct source of the five Greek "actors" contained in my Samples/Speech folder (I never downloaded this before today) but this download contains exactly the same contents as the GR (Greece) folder in my install.
I've tried everything thing I could think of to enable the Greek chatter in Il-2. No matter what I've tried (for example, duplicating the files so that the GR folder contains nine Greek voices), the game defaults to RAF chatter, even when the player nationality is assigned to Greece. Makes no sense, but that's what happens.

Perhaps so one else can figure it out.

If this link doesn't work, just go to the Ultrapack forum and search for "Hellenic Voice Pack". You will get to it.

Thanks, I've got the five actors now. I'll take a look at them later tonight.

I think that IL2 does not like the Greek language. No matter what I do, the Greek pilots speak English with a British accent. The game ignores voices in the GR voice folder. On the other hand, Greek music plays in a GR music menu folder.
I'm baffled.
I'm working with 4.12 5.30

This is a lovely map.
Functional and aesthetically pleasing , with a golden dry Mediterranean palette ,
and almost no aftertaste...

I found this already resides in CUP all the folders exist but there was no all.ini entry in 'maps', theres some extra textures in the _Tex folder from this download that need adding apart from that nothing else needs doing - all the static.ini entries and 3do already exist! So i'm guessing the same thing may have happened in BAT?????
NB You need to install the grecia_africa_jir folder too!
