A thank you might be in place
« on: March 02, 2014, 09:14:17 AM »

Hi guys an gals,

I just want to get something off my chest. I've been playing Il-2 since the very beginning off and on, sometimes taking years off and then dive back into it. Recently I decided to return to my old love and have some fun again. It never ceases to amaze me how alive this community still is. I never really participated in any fora or be of help in any way. I think there are more people like me just harvesting the numerous sites with available content, mods, modpacks, skins, unbelievable maps, planes etc. etc. which obviously takes a enormous amount of time and dedication to create and make, let alone giving support afterwards to iron out the bugs. Most importantly, all of this content is for free. I just want to say that all this is appreciated big time.

So thanks! 8)

Thank you very much for your kind words longjap, I guess all modders will appreciate them very much!
Have fun with what you can grab here and see you in the skies!

... you're totally right longjap, the least we can do is thank all modders and skinners for their dedication, and for sharing (for free ...) the result of long hours of work and patience ...  ;)

Without them, our beloved sim would have long been burried and forgotten ...

The community is incredibly long-standing and has lots of stamina. The game can't be perfect, as it is old now... but they get it closer. Thanks for your efforts all.

Indeed.

The contents of this site are the products of much hard work by the modders.
A thank you and salute to you all.

In addition to the knowledge, skill, imagination, and hard work involved in making mods, as far as I'm concerned it also takes a little bit of magic. My deepest gratitude to all the magicians out there that keep this game moving forward.

I'm sure that even Oleg is amazed.

Totally agree Longjap, a big thanks to all the modders and skinners out there who have made IL2 a fantastic immersive flight sim to rank with the best.....from a personal point of view it has given me the chance to not only have in my collection but to fly the personal planes my father flew in combat during WW2
Respect to you all
