Sistership of Yamato
« on: February 22, 2014, 01:04:37 AM »

Hi guys! I would like to request a slot for sistership of Yamato, guess who is she?..  :D ...................Right! That's Musashi! You know, once I have downloaded a Yamato Battleship, I liked it so much! And later I surprised, that there isn't no discussions about her sister, she just stood aside, what as I think is very offensively for her...  :( But I decided to solve this: I just copied whole Yamato's body, pasted it in folder Musashi and to make difference between two ships I has drawn hieroglyphic name of each ship on its deck. I gave to Musashi a class Nagato42... so I combined two packs whose authors two different men... That is not good... I don't want to release it! I want to find a guy (may be, Diving_Hawk the Yamato's author will be interested in that) who would make class files for Musashi! Please, if you want and/or can do it, reply to this post and I will give you the pack. :)

Thanks for attention!

I don't think that this is necessary... the ships where practically identical. They where both Yamato-Class after all...

You're right, but nevertheless I think, the bigger ship is, the more she has her individuality. By the way if you remember they are the largest battleships ever built in history :)

The game has a hard limit on the number of class files which can be used, so you need to think hard about whether duplicating a ship is worthwhile. You could use one of the Generic Ship slots which I regard as being pretty much a waste of space. Maybe change the IJN Generic BB to the Musashi.

For my private install I've done what you can see on photos, I just think that it would be interesting for people and may be someone will create own slot for public release... But about limit of classes... then why were added ships that have one hull (even it's just one ship, but just in different years!), but a little bit different skin. This I think is a waste of space, more useful is to add sisterships, other ships, why to have 2 same ships that have a veeery little difference?

From the history,
Musashi had another modernized style from Yamato.

Yamato increased 127mm AAA in beginning of 1944, and Diving_Hawk modelized this time Yamato in his MOD.
But Musashi didn't.
Musashi increased only 25mm guns to the end of her Oct. 1944.

When someone makes historical Musashi in 1944 , that will have a worth to prepare a indivisual slot to her.
I think.

That's right, I agree. I'm also doing this re-armament"" for her, the two variants - "early" (with 4 155-mm turrets) and "late" (small-calibre AAs replacing them, after Tunny submarine attack). But there's already a man, deSAD, who will help me with slots ;) Anyway, thank you for replying :)
