Bombsaway's Retexture of Lonestar's Truk Map. Final Update.

This will be the final update that I do for this map. I removed the old thread so there will be no confusion.

Credits go to the original maker of the map.
 
I dont know who it was but if you do please contact me so I can add them to the credits.

LoneStar for his updates to the original map which I admire his work very much.

Textures by Mixx,Agracier,Viking and many others including me. If you know the makers
of them please let me know so I can add them to the credits.

SAS~Skipper for making the 200mm Japanese guns from a destoyer that were actualy
placed on Moen island in WWII. He also included his guns from a US war ship for you to use on
other maps and missions.

Bee, Max_thehitman and SAS~Tom2 for some great links, pictures that I included in the
download,maps and information that helped me get this map as historicaly correct as
I could.

SAS~Bravo for constant moral support and encouragement.

Install... Place the folder Bombsaways_Truk in your maps folder.

Add the entry from the all note pad to your all.ini

Place the BA_Truk folder in your _tex folder.

Place the 06_CastleGun folder in your mods folder whatever version you run and
follow the install directions.

Thanks to SAS~Skipper for the Japanese 200mm cannons that were actualy there.
To place them on the map....
 When you first zoom in on the map you will see " Moen " island. Then to the east you will see the text " Turreted guns  (Four 200mm guns removed from a cruiser) " I have placed a base there with four concrete pads to place the guns on. I place the two furthest east, facing east then the other two, one facing north, the other south. Such as this...
 



This map and SAS~Skipper's guns will work in 4.12 if you add the SFS files from DBW/UP. SAS~Tom2 gives the easiest instructions for install in reply #53. At the bottom of his post in this link....  https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,35419.48.html

All the pics in the first post and my WIP thread of this map were all taken from my 4.12 Modact 5.3 install.

Final update includes some other textures added and rewoked on the map, population rework such as I placed the Hospital where it was in WWII and added different Japanese hangers and other small updates.

That's fantastic Mark you are a master of your art, i'm reaching for my sunglasses and thanks for all your hard work and effort in bringing large areas of the Pacific to life.  8)

Wow Bombsaway! Another amazing looking map! I love your pacific maps. Midway late war is probably my favorite, but I can't wait to try this one! Great work and happy nodding in the future!

The new coming map is really a nice area, many different islands, many Harbors (really many) . . .

Thanks, Bombsaway ! This map looks very interesting !

But just a question about these turreted 200 mm guns... do I find them in Artillery or stationnary objects ? or maybe I miss something, because on the map, I just see the concrete plate, with nothing on...

They come with the download and they have instructions to install them. In the download there is a folder called mods. Open it and find the 06_Castlegun folder and put it your mods folder then add the entries where they go....

So I think you forgot it : I downloaded the pack, and there is no 06_Castlegun folder... only the map and the _Tex folder with its content...
