Notes for version 1.0:

The RADAR can display up to 32 targets. There is no IFF setting on this RADAR, so beware! The range is around 30 miles.
The aircraft is intended for use in conjunction with the Command and Control mod; specifically the airborne RADAR parts.
There is no direct link between the two mods (yet) so place an airborne RADAR object as before and ensure there's an Ar-234 AEW&C in the game.

There has been some debate as to whether the dish should rotate or not - currently it does, but I can provide a new classfile which will keep it static if anyone would like it.

Credits:

Aircraft was based on the stock Ar-234 and Ar-234-C2 mod, so thanks to the original game developers and SAS~CirX
RADAR based on benitomuso's Kobalt code; special thanks to him for the assistance and advice
he provided in re-programming the RADAR for AWACs use.

Installation:

Installation:

Copy  "Arado234B3-AEW&C" folder to "#SAS", and add the following lines to the files listed:

To air.ini:

Ar-234B-3         air.AR_234B3 2                                g01   SUMMER

To plane.ru:

Ar-234B-3         Ar-234 AEW&C, 1946

Jokes aside, wow, I never thought it could be possible to make a AR 234 with AWACS! Thank you so much. This mod has to surely be in the IL-2 History books.            :P

Cheers guys; Hotelalpha, this was a serious german project, dating from 1944 - it nearly flew. The captured plans formed the basis for post war AWACs aircraft (i.e. dish RADAR mounted on top of aircraft).

Yes, of course there is - the periscope allows you to aim the defensive armament.

this is nice. Curious. could a 50mm anti-tank gun for breaking up the bomber formations be added? no pics off the net, but since this thing is ffast and the me262 had a 50 mm installed, would be interesting to see if could be a what-if, either to the awacs one or the b-2
