Tutorial or explanation of meaning in campaign files?
« on: December 27, 2013, 03:57:36 PM »

Hello Guys :)

Is there any tutorial or website with explanation of an entries in campaign files? Especially I would like to know of the rules how to create an ops*.dat files.
I know about old tutorial written by Amagi but I think it doesn't explain those rules (or mayby I'm too stupid to understand them? :P).
For instance code symbols: nB nBx nBr aB Bz aF Ff nFf nF Y U N H - what's the meaning of them, when and how to use them?
What's the difference between [Macros] and [Operations]? When use [Macros] and when [Operations]?
What is the meaning of letters behind dates (A or N)?

JpNavyMin      10622:50814:N             USN 2nF 2nF 2nF   <---(how many flights can be placed here?)            IJN 3N 3nF <--(and here?)

Thanks in advance for any help and any explanation. :)

Amagi (more precisely Nimits) explains meaning of those codes, please read carefully.

Macros and Operations are used only in Pacific ops files; Operations collect kind of operations and Macros details various possible sets of missions for same operation. A means a ground based mission (Army) N means a carrier based mission (Navy). In my experience, up to four flights can be placed left and up to three right.

You may read my talking about at following link for further details:

just replace "two" with "2", since it is banned from this site.
