So here is one of my models. I made models since my childhood but although I never quit lasts years weren't the best for me in modelling (nor other things in my life) so I was very quiet. Now I try to start again (and reduce my stock...) with some changes, like use of acrylic paints and some technics I didn't used before because lack of mediums for that. And hence I know it's a very bad quality model I wanted to start with Airfix Dornier 17 because I'm kind of a masochist modeller
(and always was...) and this same Airfix Dornier was the very first model I ever made alone when I was 12 and my grandpa gifted me one of his to do stock models. So here it is with a bit of the step by step, should I say pain by pain

Interiors with just a very tiny scratchbuilt that will remain unseen when finished,
Paintwork,
detailed and painted panel,
I used the figures to cover the gaps,
Both halves together, "slight" steps in the joints,
And wings gaps,
After filling, file, puttying and sanding,
Horizontal stabilizer problems,
and fix,
That's not all folks, engines nacelles are a pain in the ass,
joints test,
More joints tests and "interior" paint through clear parts,
Inside gear, some minor detailing,
and nacelle gap,
Even worst, awful nose clear parts fit and first try to fix it,
Finally paintwork,
lots of masking tape,
And result,
Comparing to 1936 farbtontafel chart, not bad but later I realized acrylics change slightly in tone with some days so I'm not happy now, knowing that I would make green and specially chocolate brown darker although I never meant to make it exact but with scale effect,
And that's all, there was more work in the gap but here is finished model. Not completely happy with it. I discover some things in the while, acrylic paint is weak and I screwed it a bit, I'm still fighting with acrylic varnishes, also not hard enough to protect the paintwork. Clear parts masking was bad and paint didn't fit well. Model fit is so awful I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy
. But anyway it was a nice workbench for learning those things and making better next time. I made a SCW very early model following photographs.
