One more thing I'm interested in: Pete, tell please, would you make those planes in stationary, that are default in game, but stationary versions are missing? (example: YAK_7bpf, I_16TYPE5_SPB, etc.) Or you thing they are not needed?

Hello The Radge, the stock aircraft stationaries should appear at all times unless you have removed their entries from the stationary and technics files.

I hope you did not overwrite your existing stationary and tecnics files with the ones I put in the folder 'My entries', they are for reference, they only contain the entries for the mod aircraft I have added, they do not have the stock aircraft in them.

The idea is you add those entries to your existing ones, I put them at the end so I do not have to sort what is stock.  As you collect the aircraft you want just add the necessary entries.

As for new planes:

The Spitfires already have the facility for stationaries in them, you just add the necessary entries from the readme to your existing stationary file, so they will not be added.

There is already an extensive collection of Zeros which I think superseeded those in the Tainan pack so no more will be added.

The A-20 floatplane is already in, I was doing some alterations the other day in the FM to get it to sit correctly on the water.




EDIT, the technics entry is in the section begining alphabetically with D, I will correct it with the next upload.

About this - of course I know that I shouldn't overwrite my ini files by your For me, I'm just looking through your list and comparing with my, adding necessary lines to stationary and information to technics. I haven't noticed A-20 Float so I'm sorry about it, but about Zeroes - I understood that you already have them (not from Tainan), nevertheless I think Z from Tainan pack should be added, 'cause they don't have stationary equivalents in any other installations...

About default planes - some of them really don't have stationary equivalents - check by youself YAK_7bpf for example. I tried to add it, writing line to stationaty containing its class and information to technich; launch the game, released crash, looked to log, where I found out that game doesn't have class vechiles.stationary.planes$YAK_7BPF... (may be here I wrote it with mistake - there I checked carefully that there's no mistakes)

Hello The Radge, the Yak 7 stationaries in the stock game are listed as YAK_7A and YAK_7B, that is the way they have been added to the java file that I used to compile my stationary planes mod, sorry, that is how TD/1C did it even though they have the type you mention as flyable.  They obviously did not think it necessary to add ther YAK-7BPF to the stationaries.

You also mentioned the TB-3 4M-34R(SPB), again you only get the one stationary which is the TB_3_4M_34R, there is no additional SPB stationary.

My entries were added to the existing game java file, nothing was removed or altered in the stock aircraft entries.

As you can see the YAK_7BPF is not in the TD/1C entries.


I tend to add all versions I have of the aircraft types even if they are practically identical, that way users can make individual defaults for their game, especially usefull if similar types occupied the same airfield.   With 4.12.2 this is now not entirely necessary as you can add skins to the stationaries.


Most people who compile something like the stationaries for the game releases will add only the minimum of files, so will usually add a standard version which has to cover a multitude of similar types, they will not usually cover every particular type even though it may be available in the air.ini.


Now it is possible that because these types are in the sim as flyable I may be able to add them to the java, I will do the experiment, but I cannot guarantee they will be available.

Hello The Radge, well I tried the experiment and these three aircraft which are not currently part of the stock stationaries do show.

The SPB versions of the TB-3_4M-34R and the I-16 as well as your Yak BPF, although it was necessary to add a entry to the plane_ru to differenciate it from an identical existing aircraft.



It would be really cool if the I-16 could be made to hang from the wings, but that is for another time and place.

I will add them to the next update along with some of your requests, however I am busy with some thing else at the moment so have still to download and test the others.
