« on: October 06, 2013, 02:12:20 AM »

It's been a while:)

I created a new campaign based on the career of Julius Arigi, second highest scoring Austrian ace.

Thanks, its a much required addition since the Austro-Hungarian Empire did not have a campaign yet and this covers a large time period.

Great subject for a campaign, with all the new DBW1916 aircraft.

One snag though: in the first mission your aircraft is set as RED, not Blue. Changed that in FMB, piece of cake, but after doing this the campaign loops (you know, the whole screen is just filled with the name of your pilot). So I never got past mission 1...

Am I doing something wrong here???  :o

I can not confirm this mistake!
Mission name is 16080_recon, the header looks like this:
[MAIN]
  MAP vol_ItalyAfricaGreece/vol_ita_load.ini
  TIME 7.8333344
  CloudType 4
  CloudHeight 700.0
  player aq0100
  army 2
  playerNum 0

this is aq0100 and blue, i double checked the file that is up at M4T. same thing. strange.

ah, yes, it would be the game, not you.
I am afraid, you have to delete the campaign first and start anew if it looks like this. The game does not take such a change in a started campaign well. I had similar experiences when fixing things. (but since I can't verify the mistake in the first place, i have no idea /what exactly/ you did)

I will delete the whole campaign, and re-D/L-it from mission4today. Thanks!

EDIT: This is SO weird.  ???

I get the same result: a distorted view of the sky and the sea, I'm hearing the sound of artillery - nothing else. And when I look at the .mis file the Players aircraft is RED. But I confirm, in the original file it's the same as yours = 2 = Blue.

Can anyone duplicate this problem? I have the latest DBW 1916 version - could that be the snag?
