Hello guys, after a while the A1_Phoenix Paintshop has reopened!

currently working on some planes, but i rediscovered some old spitfire projects, and after some remapping i had to modify some skins



non edited ingame screen, a teaser for one of my usual 1937 whiffs, of course. still not sure about the right metal effect, so.. halp! LOL

its a beauty,
I may be wrong but I believe the prototype was a darker blue...
I googled it and saw different shades of blue including yours

maybe the metal efect is a bit to dark , made the sheet-metal brighter maybe 

but overall comes good

That's looking good A1, trying to get a good metal effect is tricky in Oleg's world so it often seems to come down to each individual skinner's opinion. One small detail though, Spitfires had fabric covered ailerons untill thefirst metal ones appeared in mid/late November 1940. Unlike the rudder and elevators, the fabric ailerons didn't have a noticable ribbed look but there were lines of stiching.

thanks for the tips guys, i'll continue my works after fixing my pc, bad case of BSOD

no worries about templates, they are on external drive, fortunately!
