Oh it will come believe me ;)
Altough yes those rp 21 messeges are a little bit disturbing but... its still awesome :D

As well as a good fruit, everything needs its time, to put it simply.

Hi guys, I know it's way too late for this but this is a MiG-21PF, PFM, FL version with Radar (developed on the SM-12 mod).

All instruction and credit can be found on this thread:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=25695.0

Here's the download link

https://www.mediafire.com/?znpzk467zska3z3

Just download the latest version of MiG-21 mod then apply these files over.

Cheers,

S3

Looks and works cool for me....
Any chance we get an "off" posit for this radar as well, so we can also utilize the great default radar scope dark red screen.? :D

Then more gear strength and these things would be almost perfect.

How do you disable the radar text messages , The new MIG-21PFM has a working radar now so I don't want any more messages about target information and  on the F-4 phantom I use mini map in radar mode.

my gears are just fine, but you must have very low sink rate at touchdown. This is intentional though to closer model realistic landing procedures... When I first flew this fighter.... I contacted BT~Wasted (my friend via Skype) and asked him how to land, I thought it was too hard...

He didn't say anything he just sent me an excerpt from an actual pilots step by step walkthrough on proper approach with everything including: airspeeds, flap procedures, Blown Flap usage, turn points and ranges for proper approach, and touchdown sink rate... It works... It flies very well...

According to Wasted, a friend of a friend who actually flies MiG-21s, tested this very model in our game, and said it was very well done, in both handling, and even the landing behavior of the aircraft!

Anyone know why I'd get a CTD loading a mission with the PFM version?

Would love to know if he flew it in DBW 1.71 or any of the 4.12.x versions. ;)
IMHO 4.12 solved many of the low speed problems of jets and added a load of new problems at high speed. Mig-21MFs fly like X Wing fighters in turn and burn in 4.12.

Yeah, me too, I tested it then with the other Beta chaps. ;)

I assume that pilot guy flew it in DBW. :-\

I like the '21s in 4.12 -the ones with Vega's FM fixe-s too.
