Neither has mine and have put them thru the wringer with no mercy. this also includes the a1 migs. And I am very heavy modded. One thing thro I turned off gurners effects found out their was a conflict and each time there is a update try it still there. Plus the plutonium effect mod causes a few probs. waiting for a update for that too. With those two - off no probs. That is with a bunch of planes and bombers in the air along with missiles, bullets, and cannon shells flying all over. Oh also sams eight to a mission.
But if you explode could a missile or sam get you Hmmmm

BT~wasted ,are you planning to make also MiG-21F and MiG-21F-13 - the very early Fishbeds without radars ?

buchtik, you definitely have some issue with your install, mate - in the months of testing i and many others did on these, i don't think we ever came across such a problem, with AI MiGs exploding.....

I'm using IceEagle's effects mod, but after turning it off, MiGs continue to blow up. It happens few second after enemy planes appear in the sight. One interesting detail - you can avoid your wingmen's "suicide" by ordering your flight to cover you at the start of the mission. But if the flight is whole-AI -there is no chance - the half of MiGs will blow up(.

I looked at logfile and didn't find anything unusual. Classchecker shows only 2 "conflicting" classed for Mig-21 - both  are crossing with 1956 Core 1.3.

PS And one more bug (or feature). If i don't fly MiG-21, but there is a friendly AI MiG in the air, I'm getting "messages" from RP-21 about enemy contacts - like in cooperation with AWACS))

Imagine trying to take down a F 18 in it :P . i would love to try and do that

No, I don't plan any other modifications, nor I heard about someone else planning to do F or F-13, sorry.

EDIT:

Just to mention:

I also have the exploding bug. I've mentioned it long time ago, but I thought that it is only my install. So there is probably some conflict.

I'll try to find it tomorrow.

Actually, I'm having the same problem. Not sure what's causing it. It doesn't happen all the time. Lately I've only noticed it at the start of QMB missions.

My other 2 cents for Explodind Migs:

Since the first Time I installed the first Beta back in 2009 or 2010, its been so long ago I dont remember which Version I first installed, But I have allways Used the Migs in a "Jet War" Game Version, for testing purpose, I always thought not to mingle the Mig-21's with other Modded 1946 Era Planes, and I can honestly say that the only Mod that ever gave me problems with the Beta Migs was Tigers Fly By Sound Mod #UV3.

 So if your using these Migs with #UV3 may cause problems for you.

 Also maybe for those having exploding Migs, try to use them in a Clean Install just to see if they still Explode, maybe if those who have said problem can put together a symptom that causes the explosions!

I can answer that. All MiG-21s had radar but it was the 2nd Gen aircraft that gained the more functional  RP-21 set.

Initially this project started off with the MiG-21F-13 but halfway through the initial development it was converted to the PF. S3 started a cockpit for it, but there is currently no plans to make it (as we are all very busy with other projects).

If time permits, then yep we would love to do them
