The airports with concrete pavement are for newbies. lol   ;)

Some exercises on a highway strip...  ;D

P.S.: Outstanding fighter. Can't wait for the next versions of "The Pencil" (as it used to be called in my country in the past  :) ).

There is a major issue for the MiG-21 : it cannot turn when on the ground , even when using breaks  !
So it is not possible taxiing , therefor the plane cannot be used in dogfight missions .

Are you making a remake of the famous scene where MiGs are landing on a Drogowe Odcinki Lotnicze ?

BTW, if some of you understand this slavic language (I don't  :P), this is an instructional video about the 21.

I seem to have a bug with this mod. It flies fine in the QMB. But I cannot make a mission for it in the FMB.

When I try it in the FMB, it will not load the cockpit when I try and fly the mission and I just get the view when you do not select the aircraft as the player's.

Is anyone else getting this problem?

Not Lotnicze but Lotniskowe;)
Yeah, that's right.  :D If you want to see more Polish Air Force jet fighters operating from highway strips - look at this:

Read manual for this: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,23327.0.html. There are 5 types of diff brakes. In MiG-21 bu default use type 3, but a real life MiG-21 used braking system like type 1, or type 4. Real MiG-21 have one  braking lever on a stik, passive steering for nose wheel and the pilot distributes braking efforts between right and left braking wheels, moving(but not press) pedals.  To switch type of differential brakes it is possible having edited a  FM file for MiG-21

Okay guys enough the RTFM stuff. Vpmedia is a long-term member here and if he says he can't find it in the manual, then he can't find it in the manual. I apologize to you VP, I thought I had included it in the manual but must have slipped my mind. Indeed the MiG-21 (like all MiG jets) has passive front steering and you must use differential braking in order to steer.

Currently the brake isn't quite working as intended and in the next MiG-21 update we will resolve this. It is supposed to work as tarakan described.

Template related question? Is there a rivets/panel lines layer or at least a void skin out there? Been trying to make a few of my own skins for personal use.

cool. :D
i'd also like to discuss/investigate a bit more, this issue of FPS drop on occasion.
it might not be pertinent to this thread, so maybe i'll move this particular conversation somewhere else - maybe the JetWar thread, or MiG21 thread...
but let me put my findings forward meanwhile....
i think we all know the issue of planes being hit by missiles, then they leave a flaming ball hanging in the air at that spot, and you can even padlock this fireball, as if it is a plane.
i had a close look at one of these fireballs, a MiG-21 which i hit.
under normal observation, all you see is the fireball.
however, when i pause the action on this spot, i see the rockets of the MiG sitting at the same spot.
also, quite often(it's hard to spot, though) when a plane lands, and then disappears, i noticed a 'blur' of motion along a straight line where the plane disappeared. examining closer, and also having to pause to see what it it, it's like a 'line' of the same two rockets moving rapidly up and down along this line.
barely visible to the naked eye at normal speed, but it happens quite often, and there is a flurry of java missile exceptions running with it.
i suspect this is at least partly the cause of these issues.
hard to describe, though - i'll try and put up an animated gif a bit later, to help illustrate what i'm seeing.
in the cases i tested, the planes were equipped with the K5Mf rockets, and it's these that are 'moving about' on their own, either after a plane is hit, or disappears after landing.
i may be wrong, but i suspect this has something to do with the seemingly random slowdowns in FPS.
