Thanks, but the top aircraft isn't actually a H5Y, and I have the other images!

Hi Mikoyan
sorry -my last post misfired. I meant to say:
great to see this flying boat progressing.   regarding the machine gun in the bow:
William Green's "Flying Boats" [p136-7] seems to shed some light.
He says: "Armament: one or two 7.7 mm guns firing laterally from windows in bow and one 7.7 in tail"
In one photo and one diagram, he shows  three small square windows in a row, on each side of the bow. In the darker of the pictures posted above, you can see the  rear two of these three windows, just behind the wing float. The green side profile posted above also shows them well.
So, it seems there was no front turret as such, but there was a gun! [or two]

Cheers; what i'll do then (eventually) is move the blister turrets to the nose. I'd add some windows, but the CF_D0 (which is the 3D model for the front part) is corrupted and i'm afraid I can't do anything with it without more effort than it's worth.
On the plus side though, i've finished the 3D model as is by adding CAPs (the bits that cover the ends of the wings when you blow the wingtips off):

Which means in practical terms I can release it. I can't do anything with the weaponry/slot/rudder animation for now as the software that lets me modify it is down currently; but i'll try and get that up and running again soon.
I have an exam tuesday, so I may not be able to post it tommorow, but should have it up for wednesday. It'll use the same slot os the PBY Catalina for now.

Cheers; hope it went better than I think it did!

Version 1 released:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,35006.msg379651.html#new

Will try and fix major bugs but i'm not too fussed about minor graphics glitches etc for minor types such as this. It should be fairly bug free.
