Yup, I messed up. I was thinking of the Mavis. Once you hit 50........... :-\

It's a fair mistake; this plane was designed as a smaller version of the H6K, they have very similar lines. The idea is once i've done this, someone else can very easily "Franken" an H6K with a little scaling and cloning of engines.
---------------------------
I've started importing the aircraft - this has proved simpler than expected, as i've discovered a new way of doing it (import the original part over your one in Gmax, re-order the hierarchy, export, and Bob's your uncle).

Only CF_D0 for now, but should have the rest done fairly soon. The i'll get onto the classfiles.

Thanks; not too bad once you get the hang of it. It's the "tweaking" which takes time usually, getting details perfect and getting things to line up. Anyways, it's almost all imported now:

Right, undamaged model pretty much finished:

It's a long way from perfect, and I have made a few mistakes, but it's good enough now for an "AI" model, which is what I assume most people want. I'll try and get a slot sorted soon as well. The skin, for the record, is hashed together from random parts of stock N1K2 and Fw190 skins, it's not really my work.

I like it. :) AI is great but I cant wait to fly it. I'll take it either way. :)

Cool. Not bad. But I think the front section needs a lot of corrections.

..it´s not easy to find some good drawings about the H5Y-1 in the net.

Regards.  :)

I did try to get the shape a bit more like that - but I found it impossible with the mesh in the format it's in; also, I couldn't find any photographs showing the bow section in sufficient detail to warrant re-building it (you can see even in the images you've provided there are discrepancies). One question you can answer for me though is whether or not the bow contains a machine gun position on a scarff ring? Wikipedia lists the aircraft as having 3 7.7mm machine guns; I can only find visual reference for one (stern turret).

In regards to making the aircraft flyable, i've kept the catalina cockpit, and moved it to the correct position - so it is now flyable, although the turrets are still wrong.
