Mod to Automatically Delete Quick on Game Load
« on: April 11, 2013, 03:40:36 PM »

Given the move towards period installs hosted over a single root code base, I was wondering if someone knows if there is a way to set up a mod to delete the quick mission with each game load.

I currently am running a WWII and JetWar Period packs which are enabled via GME and sit over HSFX (Bravo's offline option which hosts inside #SAS).  Works great, and very easy to switch between flying stock HSFX WWII period planes with HSFX buttons, while easily switching to JetWar with latest SAS buttons and associated jet enhancements.  However, most testing/flights occur in QMB, and usually I have to manually delete the quick each time I start up the game.  I did set up a reset which works in both periods, however somethings I forget to click it to clear any conflicts in the quick that will then freeze the game.

All in all, if there was a way to have the quick auto deleted on game load, that would be great as part of a mod/GME option.  If not, no worries.  Just have to remember the reset, or manually delete as have been doing.

Rename the Quicks folder or like I did delete it. Then it never saves.
You can always go back and create a new folder and name it Quicks.
I only use QMB to test a new plane or check new skins.

Yes that would be a good mod; this Quick mission can frustrate a lot. See Riptide_one's storie over at https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,33705.0.html
