Here you go, download a Fokker DR.1 "Killer Kitty"  ;D

This one is for my little girl Goddaughter to fly in

My sis (11, gunner of B-25):
Wow!! This skin is pretty! I want it for my plane! :D

Me: Its actually pretty good max! I like it! Might be my first ever pink plane! :D

But whenever they talked about him, they always had a slight smile on their faces.. And that, perhaps, maybe your answer.

from what i gather, looking at the void bmp and also psd files, is that a template is like a hamburger.
its made of plastic transparent sheets stacked on top of each other.
you can have as many as you want. shuffle them around or remove them etc.
put paint on some, and manipulate only that sheet, till you are happy with that one sheet (the propeller for example)
...without screwing up the other sheets (the wings...).
and once you are happy with the result, pack it up, save as bitmap, and presto, a hamburger has turned into a skin.
a few more steps, and i can fly that thing.

But who defines what part of the plane goes where on the void.bmp? wings ptops and machineguns?
Is that also the guy that made the plane?

You are right. PSD templates have many layers, and each can be changed individually to a desireable effect without the risk of ruining other layers. Then they are converted to BMP to run in the game.

Yes, the guy who makes the 3d model is the one that determines where on the "map" a part goes. That map data is saved within the 3d, and when you place a proper skin into the folder, it reads it and translates it properly onto the plane in game.

The explanations are excellent and open my eyes to many things I did not know existed.
Thank you very Much again for your help and time to answer my questions.
