War Thunder Video
« on: January 24, 2013, 10:30:28 AM »

Hi,
I'm 15 and I'm French, I love making videos, and I make a video based on a mission of War Tunder. I don't know I'm allowed to talk about this game but I want to share you my video.

Tell me if you like it.

great video, mate! :D
i understand war thunder is an online-only sort of game, which doesn't offer much appeal to me personally, but it sure looks pretty good, and i suppose quite a few folks here will enjoy it.

It's not very "only" online, because you can buy the campaign (who's very good) but the major part of players play only online. And if your PC is good you can play in max graphics (like me), it's realy amazing mainly for a "free2play"

Nice vid mate.

What I wonder is, if WT is a hack of Il-2 (wasn't this?), would we be able to re-hack it and use what we might like of it in original Il-2? May be some effects and lighting specially.

S!

Thank you for the post, but I don't think war thunder is a hack of IL-2 because Gaijin is a realy good developer and makes Warplanes games quite a long time but IL-2 was the first and will remain the best

nice video  ;)

the only thing i dont like, but not specifically in your video but in every video of a sim:
AI aircraft that do normal, steady turns use full rudder. thats so annoying every time i see it.
its unrealistic and stupid and wrong, i am getting sick everytime i see that.
shows the true weakness of the AI.

but nevermind, your video is 99% good non the less ;)

It's not AI plane, it was my plane, but I was in "easy" mod with mouse and keyboard but when I play with joystick, I can't do that

It's not very "only" online, because you can buy the campaign (who's very good) ...

so, Crash, i am considering to download this game, but it is rather big (+-6.5GB) - i don't mind this, but do you mean that with this download there is no campaign, and i would need to 'buy' it separately?
i must admit, i would be disappointed to download such a size and it then still needs me to pay for the campaign.
if i understand correctly, the base game is free, but the campaign i would need to pay for?

I was not very clear, you can unlock progressively all campaign missions with your level of online pilot but you can unlock the entire campaign (instantly), 3 good aircafts and game Credits for 70$ (or 50€). When you download the game, missions are already in the game you haven't to download each mission when you unlock a new one.
