Alright, here are the Led Zeppelin pilots .... only made 2... Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
The rest are too drunk to fly  ;D

Put the pilot skins inside your game "Paintschemes" folder... then "Pilots" folder  ;)

\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Pilots

- DOWNLOAD --->  https://www.mediafire.com/file/moucdz099j9y65r/Led_Zeppelin_Pilots.7z

There is an extra folder in this download which are the same skins , but saved as TGA (targa) format,
for replacing the default pilot-skins when I do some tests on WW1 airplanes.
Use it if you want.

I have to say this is by far my favorite mod for IL2.  These WWI zeppelins are my absolute favorite combat aircraft ever.  Massive in size and bristling with guns, they are absolutely fascinating.  I couldn't care less about the weird flight model, the lack of any way to aim bombs at a target (besides using external view  :-| ), and not being able to switch between gunner positions. Even though Its not the most realistic handling rigid airship, I love it   ;D .  The one thing I just can't get past though, is the fact that no matter what I try, I just cannot seem to get it off the ground without the whole thing flipping over and imploding.  Is there any method/fix anyone has used to be able to get it off of the ground?  It would be a dream come true to fly missions as a zeppelin captain  :) I am running the latest BAT install with every expansion pack, up to operation sea lion.

@Potato, That's because the Zepplin lacks a gear.

You can't use it as as you would a normal aircraft unless some modders take it up and develop a dedicated FM in java.  To me this currently is some real good eye candy as AI in missions but only of limited use as flyable tbh.

Also, the performance is way out of line as it uses an unchanged FM of some old russian heavy bomber. To use it close to realistic, one must limit the top speed in FMB waypoints to about ~ 120. It should be even lower (less then 100 really) but the FM won't keep altitude then and the flight pattern becomes erratic.

Ah that makes sense.  Thank you for the reply!  If someone were to edit the FM, maybe using some EXTREME flap settings to simulate ballast to get a near vertical  takeoff after throttling up the engines would get the cigar off the ground?  now I'm just brainstorming

I was very much hoping that someone would make a FM dedicated to the airships, for taking off more than needing to release ballast, it would be more useful (perhaps) to associate the rate of climb to the propeller or engine grip, 20% -30% down Slowly 40% -60% keeps the altitude 70% -100% rising faster and progressively, use the tank release control to simulate the ballast release, and naturally reduce the cruising speed and takeoff (take off at speed 50/60 kmh, 80 / 100Kmh fastening speed 49 / 50Kmh landing speed), an important aspect is to implement the ability to swing without inclination or very few degrees these characteristics would surely make the Mod more enjoyable Unfortunately I have no capacity To make FM and correct corrections.

Greetins Gio .

P.S.:I do not even know if these indications are feasible.

Can not download 0_WWI_PlaneVeapons(
Invalid or Deleted File.
The key you provided for file access was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or MediaFire.

Is it necessary to work with zeppelin in a slot from Dreamk?

And more: is it possible to add to the FMB stationary Zeppelin?
