Hey! That is looking very spiffy!  8) Its looking great!
Happy Thanksgiving too! Pass me a turkey leg and some dumplings!

You have got a good eye for details and coloring. Your a natural born artist.
I am sure our good friend US_Grant will not mind if you paint another airplane skin that he has also done in the past.
Over the years I have seen many skins of the same airplane and they are all diferent and all unique. Each artist as
a diferent way of painting and looking at things, so your version is also welcomed by all, I am sure.
Make sure to write down the names of each artist who also painted parts of your skin, so as to credit them too.
They deserve some credit too, for all the hard work they also contributed to making this aircraft for us all to enjoy.

I am not sure what might be the problem you are encountering with your skin , but I highly reccomend to get yourself a
small notepad and a pen, place it next to your pc and write down every information about the skin you are working on.
The size of the original, how many KB/MB it has, any particular special names , colors used, etc. etc.
So far, over  the years I have already used up nine 100-page booklets.  :P  That is alot of information and skins
painted already. Its all in good fun, so its cool to me.

When you save your skin and place it into the folder, make sure to name it EXACTLY like the original name on the skin.
Save it EXACTLY in the same size and amount of pixels too. It should show up in your game without any problems.
Although, you may be saving it and placing it into another folder. Make sure where it is, what folder its inside.
That is the reason I say get a small notebook and write down all the needed information, so you keep track of
all the steps you have done and those details. Otherwise you forget and start messing things up.
Sometimes painting a skin takes days, sometimes even months work, so its good to keep these details written down and
your work process going at a steady pace. Always move forward to better things. Never look back.

Your doing great and I hope to see some nice skins from you in the future.
Remember always to have a great time doing it. This is FUN TIME! This is not work, it should be a fun hobby  ;)

Cheers
