Thanks, tomoose. The objects will look good when they're completed. As far as the Bedford refueler is concerned. It could have a deck and canvas cover added. There aren't any British trucks in the game. It would be easier than scratch building a Matador. Keep up the good work.

cheers

There's already an RAF Fueling truck?  D'oh!!  I use DBW but haven't seen that yet.

Thanks for the tips gents, much appreciated, particularly with regard to polys and mapping etc.  Back to the drawing board!!!!   :-\

As Spitpest suggested I've cut down the number of polys in the chocks objects and still get the same effect.  I also scaled them waaaay down.  I have my gmax set to 1 unit = 1 meter.  Does that mean that the grid is 1 meter squares?  If so then I can judge the 'size' of an object when building it?

Yes, the grids should be 1 square meter each. However, it is much easier to create a cube from the default shape generator and set the dimensions to the size of your object. Now scale your object down until it fits in that cube, and now, you will have the correct size.

Hawkers;
still a WIP but it's slowly coming together as I learn more and more.  Next thing is learning how to do windshields with 'alpha channels' etc. ;)

Nice work, mate :)

And glad to see (from your other thread) that you finally sorted out your UVW mapping woes :)

Very good idea, I always said that such objets were almost left appart by modders (in comparison with the amount of planes and ships added),so there is still a big gap to be filled.
Best wishes for your project.
