Carpetbagger B-24s
« on: September 10, 2012, 08:31:18 PM »

Per a request, I re-did some skins featuring B-24s that were modified for clandestine "Carpetbagger" missions.

All of these skins are available at Axis and Allies Paintworks.

The first pack of B-24s is from the 492nd Bomb Group, which was the primary parent group for Carpetbagger operations.

Not every one is a Liberator!

I also have a pack of 7 B-24s from the 36th RCM (Radar Counter Measures) Bomb Squadron, the only electronic warfare squadron in the USAAF during WWII. Administratively they were part of the 492nd BG though they performed a completely different mission, flew mainly during the day, and did not paint their aircraft black.
