Ok, I've been trying to warm her up but I keep frying the engine. Could someone tell me what my throttle percent should be at sart up the what it should advance to as I warm up. I try to keep an eye on my gauges but I still fry it.

When you are warming up the engine, this is where you look....nothing else exists..not even Lea ;)

"If below 4.5,do not exceed 1200rpm"....simple ;)..curently is at 3kg/cm2,so if you go above 1200rpm you will damage the engine.

The amount of damage is linked with rpm's....more rpm, more damage...less rpm, less damage..

ya, i saw that one, and tried itm but it seams to vague to me, i would like a more concreat anser, and were is the fuel pressure gauge?

That gauge marked in red.....right side is oil pressure, left side is fuel pressure...you will notice that fuel pressure gauge is a bit more alive now ;)

Thanks EnsignRo for this. I must say that I have enjoyed the opening canopy a lot. I haven't done much flying, or even trying to get it off the ground yet, though.

Out of curiosity, would one be able to put the open canopy part of the mod on all Bf-109s?

Oh, finally! A plane with realistic engine startup sequence! I can't wait to try it after I finish work for today! There was such a project over at AAA (a FW-190D) but I don't know what happened to it!  EnsignRo , thank you, this feature is a true gem for full realism offline players!

Just one request (if it isn't already included) - could you make a simple .pdf file with just text (or a copy of old pilot's manual) how to properly start and warm up the engine with temperature, RPM and oil pressure stats?
There was such a manual with the "Bigging Hill Wing" campaign for the Spitfire Mk.IX and although it's a much simpler airstart, after reading the manual I managed to squeeze the maximum out of the engine during the campaign without ever busting an engine or overrevving (and I play without HUD messages). Manuals for mods, even the most simple ones are a must IMHO, esp. for such a detailed a/c.

As for the problems with airfield raids, I'm sure that at least in single missions and campaigns it won't be much of a problem after patch 4.09 brings us event triggers - so, it begins after you've warmed up and started rolling on the runway! :D

Thanks! I hope we'll see more detailed engine warm-up a/c soon! :D

Here

Either that or assign a key in controls to open/close canopy. If that doesn't work then perhaps you have the wrong version installed (The basic version).
