DBW 1916: DR1 - Would anybody be interested in this?
« on: July 22, 2012, 01:46:53 AM »

Hey all,
I recently modified one of Max-The-Hitman's Fokker E.III skins and optimised it for the DBW: 1916 1.4 Fokker DR1 model which has some peculiarities and so some other skins don't fit. I have posted below some screenshots and I was wondering if (of course, with Max's permission) anybody would like this skin in their game or if anyone would like me to optimize other skins for the DR1. Here is my changelist:
-Removed E.III exhaust outlets.
-Moved white-tail back further to avoid graphical anomaly.
-Changed balkenkreuz
-Removed double-crosses on the three wings.

Here's another; the Red Baron's mount:

Please note that I'm just editing Max-Thehitman's skins for better-looking DR1s. :) 99.9% of it is his work!

They look fine!
Why dont you upload them to http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&c=108 ?
They cant be used as a DBW-1916 default skin because 4 different german types share the same skin (check readme for more info).

Hey , that looks cool  8) Nice paints, Congrats!
Don´t credit me, its your idea and paint-work. I don´t mind, but just leave the other credits on the skin
as some little cockpit parts belong to other skinners templates, and they would apreciate that thought.

Your skins look great. Not exactly the Red Barons original but it can very well pass off as another aircraft version
that might have been painted in the same manner. There were many triplanes flying around from many companies.

I am still presently re-constructing all the parts and pieces on my templates to make the skins fit properly into
this model airplane. Not easy man, but its slowly getting somwhere.
I will post my version of this airplanes skins soon.
