Hi all,

12th May 1944: The 8th U.S. Air Force bombers attacked with 930 planes the
"IG Farben" and also destroyed the same "German fuel plants" in Leuna completely.

Albert Speer described this 12th May 1944 as follows:

"The day was decided on the technical war!"

From that day on, the German High Command were standardized color schemes are no longer important.
From June 1944 everything was "painted" still available in all colors. The colors should only protect the materials ...!

Do not be surprised:
Strange color schemes at that time were nothing extraordinary, all was possible - nothing was impossible.  ;)

Regards, Gerhard

The above picture shows another possibilty with references to shades of RLM colours interpeded throught the years.
Hence 'I'm begining to see the big picture' statement I made.

By all accounts, here is the 'almost final' (minor details left to do), RLM 74/75/76, field mix of grey, RLM 75/83 cowl (RLM 83 was applied very light), RLM 04 rudder. Oil tank cover RLM 75/76 ( the cause in my opinion of the very faint Luft 4 band in the black & white fotos seen at certain angles).

Please, judge, criticize, comment..

Hello Ice

Nice book collection ! ( But you still miss some  like Prien-Rodeike  Bf 109-F/G and K !  :P). But don't worry , there is no picture of Rosemarie inside !

See with pleasure that you're back to my reality.
I'll pick that one for sure .

As you said , everything was possible at that time of the war but I still feel that this one was more possible than the other ones ! ;)

Nice work.

Thanks for the compliments! Sorry for the delay, but I need it almost perfect (some final airbrushing), + I need to get the 'bright' plugin
working so I can save without so much 'pixelation'. Lots of small details I'd like to notice while flying.

Heres some more screenies:

Getting closer to completion...

How do I fix this (light coloured strip arrow is pointing too [both sides])?

Hallo Ice~Eagle,

you don't need "Bright Tool" or bright plugin!

1.) Download Gimp (my version is 2.6).

2.) Safe your ( .psd or whatever) skin as ".tga".

3.) Open that safed ".tga" skin with Gimp.

4.) Click on "Image/ Model/ Index" and set: 256 colors.

5.) Now safe as ":BMP" and all is done fine! It's very simple, please test it...

Ha-ha, hi Eis~Adler,

lol, gerade Dein Avatar geklickt.

Hello Gerhard!

I do use Win7 64bit.  but I'm using gimp 2.8 (did you make gimp 2.8 too?) I'll try your method though and see if it works with
2.8 also, seems easier. What I do with 2.8 is that I save it as a batch file with the 'bright' plug in. It automatically indexes it & converts to .bmp. That solution was from A&A.

Btw, what do you think of 'Rosemarie"?

Horrido! Greg~

Hello Greg~,

Rosemarie looks very pretty!  :D

I have Win 7 64 Bit too.

Gimp 2.6 and 2.8 near the same. The different is that Gimp 2.8 is now to set down "complete" on desktop like other programs...!

Btw, the bright plugin would never run on my PS5 64 Bit!
