I got a i7 2,8 and it run perfectly with my nvidia 680 4 mb and 18 mb ram

Hi Folks,

I didn't realize this board exists. I am having fun with Il2 1946 but I thought would post my specs and see what you folks think. Will I be able to play IL2 Cliffs OF Dover on medium settings ?


- CPU - I5 2.20 Quad Core
- 8 GB DDR2 RAM
- Onboard Sound
- Video - Nvidia GeForce GT 640 GC - 1GB DDR3

I know a 1GB video card is not optimal and I realize my card is not on the top of the list - but it is a pretty good card.  Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am only looking to play some single player stuff with quick mission builder really. Was hoping for medium settings.

Hey all...anyone running this on Windows 8? I'm stuck with it now, and I'm having trouble getting the graphics up. Everything is set on high/ultra, and it renders like its on the lowest settings!

Specs:
Core i7-3630QM, 2.4-3.4
8GB DDR3
nVidia GTX 660M, 2GB GDDR5
128GB SSD + 320GB HDD, running from SSD

I have the user-made patch to run it on Win8, but the graphics are awful. I know there isn't any official support, but if any of you guys know anything, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks very much for the information. I had my doubts and it's nice to hear from someone with similar specs.

I really appreciate you passing that information on. I may just wait a few months and see what develops in regards to patches and such.

You'd need at least a 550Ti as a minimum, which is what I use, but I also have a Quad Core processor so I doubt you will get the desired framerates with a dual core. I am not sure if getting a more powerful card in maybe the 600 series could compensate for the lack in processor power. If you are really enthusiastic, I'd get another 2 gig of ram as well but 4 is fine along with a quad core and at least a 550Ti.

What about a novatek geforce 210 at 1025mb?

the 640 is a pretty good deal. I know zotac makes one with 1gb GDDR5. it has 384 cuda cores so that should be more than enough.

Got Clod running fine now after buying a new 2GB graphics card.
Works great for stock missions with all settings to max.

And hopefully now the game has progressed I may have a better chance of running it, so here it is!:

Doubtful, but you can try! I run it on high @900p, but I have an i7-4700hq, and a gtx 760m OC. The game is quite good, but I recommend an i5 and a hd 8850/GTX 750. The game is well worth $10 because of team fusion!

Yeah I wouldn't probably play it on that high settings, and hopefully get 16+fps (16 is my minimum) I have heard fo things about team fusion, what have the done?

Team Fusion has fixed everything! It is a completely new game. It runs way better, looks better, sounds better, has better effects, better maps (more maps), the FMs and DMs have been fixed, and the bugs are all but gone! NEVER play CoD without TF. They just released 4.3, so go get TF 3, 3.1, 4, 4.3, and 4.32!
