I guess I may be able to run it well, maybe I will have to tweak the settings or something in that area.

you should be able to run it- but you will have to compromise on some settings- medium would probably be a good place to start.

good luck

I5, adequete? Surely not, PCFormat said "An I5 or at least an I3 is more than enough", i worry how much this game takes to run, seems to be the elast optimized game in the world :s

I could have gotten the I7 but it was Overkill for my computer.

In fact, several people said that they may get very bad performance and FPS rates with a great or excellent card for CloD and the reason is that the GPU was not being used to it's full potential.

I had the same problem with FSX (I played it before Il-2) as I had a processor and RAM that were taking the heat for the game and the GPU was just relaxing.

However, now today I will get CloD with some spare cash I have (17 euros) on Steam and will see what happens. (Hopefully a good thing?)

Anyways that is all for now; I cannot theorize the outcome until I try.

Well, ya know the way over clocking is done now has changed. Everything is already set on the new hardware architecture. Voltages, bus width and speed over the specs. All ya gotta do now is cool down your chips and they will speed up automatically. A little electronic cooling goes a long way now a days.

My specs are crap, but then again, the computer started as a server computer in 2002 with only 256 MB of RAM  ;D

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 single-core clocked at 2.66GHz
RAM: 2 GB DDR1
GPU: NVidia GeForce 6200 512 MB (the only part that's not crap)

I'd have more RAM if I had more than just two slots. I run IL-2 at 20-30 FPS most of the time.

Dataman is that a PCIe card or AGP?  Is the board a single CPU or multi CPU board. Socket type? Ya know, you can upgrade that to the max for about 30 bucks.

I'm running an old Asus board with the 915 chipset.

Windows XP 32 Bit
P-4 3.8 Ghz 670 CPU Socket 775. This is the highest chip I can use on this board. Paid $12.00 for it.
2 Gig DDR 400 Mhz G-Skill Ram. Paid $10.00 for it.
GeForce 7600 GT hardware OCed to 580 Mhz GPU and 750 Mhz on 256 Meg GDDR3. PCIe. Paid $15.00.

I average about 25 fps with HSFX 6.0.17 and Gurner FX 4.3 activated.

Hello, I just purchased a lenovo y500 with an i7-3630qm processor, two geforce gt 750's running in sli (4 gb gddr5 total) , 8gb ram, 1 tb hdd + 16 gb ssd cache drive. Can i run CoD with medium to high settings in 1080p? Especially with the new team fusion patches?

probably, I would never recommend a laptop to run CoD but that one should have the 'oomph' in the gpu department. CPU looks a bit slow so you may struggle with more complex missions with lots of planes/vehicles.

Specs for that laptop indicate Win8- if that is the case be prepared for a little 'fun'

I had two gtx 480 in SLI , and it runned it. The problem is ,the game does not support SLI settings. this is why I changed to one 680 gtx 4 gb . So you need to find out if one will rune it.
Another thing is heat, laptops overheat very fast running a big GPU full throttle. You will need to put it in one of those cooling docks

The processor automatically overclocks to 3.4ghz and has 8 threads, I would think that was strong enough to run any game for three to four years? And haven't some people configured sli to work in CoD?

I would politely suggest that CoD will prove you wrong on this line of thinking. :D (and maybe some other games over the next few years).

3.4hz might just about work (assuming it can hold that speed consistently- it is a laptop and they are generally configured to save power by clocking down/switching off features whenever possible).
Seriously, I would suggest 3.4 is a MINIMUM CPU speed to run CoD acceptably.- 4.0ghz + would be my suggestion as a reasonable recommended speed.

8 threads- CoD doesn't use hyperthreading therefore only 4 cores are useable- and many tests show CoD is far from stellar at balancing load across these cores.

Flight sims are probably one of the most demanding applications you can run on a PC, they always have been- it was years before I could run IL2 in perfect mode ;), FSX was a pig on release, I could go on.

Jeeshe, well thanks for the input. I'll give it a go. I want to play some CoD, but also I love playing full real battles in the new game: Warthunder. It is nowhere near the depth and realism of CoD, but it is beautiful, easy to run, and pretty realistic in the full real battles mode.
