Can I run COD? I play 1946 with DBW and a few mods at 25-100 fps if that helps. Also what are the differences between both games experience wise? Is one superior to the other? Thanks
Here are my specs:
Amd a8-4500m apu
8 gb ddr3 1600mhz ram
7640g radeon hd discrete-class graphics with up to 4gb VRAM but 512mb dedicated

I think you may at low settings I got 2x 480 gtx with 1 gb memory on each. The thing is Clod does not support SLI so all my two cards are worth they handle other stuff when using two screens. and mine run high settings but when dogfighting online I have problems with trackir and a little stutter
I think 512 dedicated is too little

I ran the Black Death track on my rig and to my surprise the result wasn't at all bad, taking into account that my rig is about 6 years old: MSI K9AGM2-L mobo, Athlon X2 5000+ CPU, 320 GB SATA HDD, 4 GB DDR2-800 RAM, nVidia GT630 2 GB vid card, W7 Ultimate x64. All settings- planes etc- on "high", roads etc enabled. First few seconds screen was simply white, blue, black and yellow, then ground details and objects appeared, a few seconds later the camo schemes on the planes popped up, next was the full detailing of the ground- trees etc plus full colours. Track ran with a few occasional microfreezes, but apart from that OK- certainly something one can live with. The CPU is probably the limiting factor as it is only dual-core, but as it is close to the maximum the mobo will accept (Athlon X2 5200+) there is probably little to be gained by buying the 5200+. RAM is at mobo's maximum. Vid card is a fairly recent upgrade- before I installed CloD- driver is the latest, 314.07.
Will build a new rig this year, using the GT630 as it's almost brand-new. This will hopefully run CloD at its best.

I can't, which annoys me greatly.

My specs are:

CPU:Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 720QM : GHz - 1.6 GHz, with Turbo Boost up to 2.8 GHz;
RAM:8GB (2GB x4) DDR3 1066 SODIMM SDRAM
System:Genuine Windows® 7 Professional, (64-bit)
Graphics card:ATI Mobility™ Radeon® HD 5870, 1G GDDR5 VRAM

I suspect the GPU is the problem, but, hey, it's a damed G73J ASUS gaming laptop!

Grrr.....

Well those specs in a nvidia card would run it, it might be you need better conf.ini settings

Well I am going to get Cliffs of Dover, it looks like it is an awesome simulator.  ;)    Here are my specs from the computer that I built in November:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3450 @3.10 Ghz and 4 cores (Quadcore)
RAM: 2x sticks, 4 Gigs each = 8 GB's total
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G45
Power supply: 650 Watt Antec
Video card:Nvidia EVGA GTX 270
Monitors: DUAL MONITORS

So can I run it?

I know that it can be a real FPS killer sometimes....

very doubtful if you will get a satisfactory results- your vid card is not on the list of supported cards (although it does list 260 and 275 ??? )
Really to run CoD well you need a strong GPU preferably with 2Gb or more memory, from personal experience 1Gb will be 'choppy'.
You also mention 2 monitors, this could be another source of problems.
RAM is good- so presumably you are running Win7 64bit?  32bit/XP is not recommended.
CPU- is adequate- just.

Overall I'd reckon it might be ok for sightseeing flights but you may struggle with more than a few planes in combat

Oh sorry, I made a typo. I have an indeed 260!
1 GB memory.

I guess I may be able to run it well, maybe I will have to tweak the settings or something in that area.
