Skin help please

I hope this is the right place to ask a skin question.  I didn't see any other areas except help with Mods which this is not.  If I need to post it elsewhere, just let me know.

Anyway, I am trying to add the planes registration number to the tail but when I add the number across the vertical stab and rudder on the port side, the number is partially backwards on the starboard side?  I have downloaded some skins to try to see what others have done and I see that some have mirrored half the number on the port side which shows up fine in the game.  However, on the starboard side they are still incorrect???

Can anyone help me with this...

1) when asking help with mirroring issues (or skinning issues in general)... FIRST THING TO GET RIGHT: for god's sake, MENTION WHICH PLANE IT IS  (since the way skin is distributed is very particular to each single individual model)

2) by the way you describe it seems you are dealing with a plane that has only ONE rudder side, and then mirrors that side in the missing half...  there is nothing you can do about that, except curse the modeller that choosed to map his model that way. Sad, but many models in game have issues when it comes to skinning very particular things (or even general ones... like the haken on He111... wonder who was the cruel guy that delivered us such unexcusable skin mapping :P )

Thanks for the info.  I have/had no idea that skins could be made with a mirror rudder.  I was wondering why I couldn't see all of the port side in the BMP file.  This now explains it.  Thanks and I will use the lounge the next time for this type of question.
