The motto they used to say in WW1, is
"we will only give you a guarantee of 3 months to live flying these planes, after that, its on pure luck if you
survive any longer".  What a cool way to recruit new pilots.

Then I guess recruiters lied back then; I've read in numerous articles and books that the average life expectancy for a fresh pilot coming in was just 9-11 hours flight time.  :o

Hmmm ... life expectancy must have been extremely hard to set down.

For instance, even though it is just one single instance, a French friend had a grandfather who was doing his military service when the war began - and the poor guy was in it for the duration. Advance into Belgium, retreat, storm Fort de la Pompelle, Champagne Offensive, left bank of Verdun, then to Italy ... apparently only slightly wounded once all that time ... being a veteran must have helped a lot ...

The Luftstreitkräfte version of the Nieuport 17. Very nice indeed ;-)

That is a reallly nice update to that plane!!!!

You ought to reskin the original Siemen D II that Skipper introduced and change it into the Fokker D II

By using that slot would cut down on the number slots thus save space.

If we're thinking of the same IL2 plane, the Fokker D.2 was alot smaller than that standin. That standin plane is big in game!  ;) Would probably be easier to edit the tail of the SS DI and add another set of wing struts. Removing or changing planes that are already inside 1916 would be up to VP. I wouldn't want to erase someone elses work.  ;)

I hate those frankenplanes and I'd love to get them replaced by something good looking and authentic.
If you want to do more work for this pack I'd be happy to include it.
Thanks!

:D Glad you feel the same way! I'll see what I can do about the Albatros D5 tail tomorrow, I'm pretty exhausted tonight. Catch you guys on the flipside.
