I couldnt get the WWI maps to work in QMB. The mission would save but when I go to QMB I click fly but nothing happens.

Thanks Bombaway.
There is a post somewhere here that has some good explanations on how to create proper
missions. I think it has to do with making 4 airplane-flights for each side, then making 4 diferent mission
for each side... one take-off mission, one with none, one with attacking airfield and one mission to attack a bridge. All missions must be recorded or otherwise the map will not load, or something like that.  ::) I have to find that post again.

The none mission is the easiest to make. I have been able in the past to make a RedNone00 mission for any map and it works. I've never had an issue that I need a blue one as well or others in before one will work. I'm not sure why the english channel WWI or the WWI Sommes wont work. As I said they save so its not an object isse but they wont load.

Heres one I dont get. I did as VP said and copied the QMB pro for it and put it in. The only QMB missions are Gallipoli and they work. So I made a RedNone for the WWI_EnglishChannel map it loads but as soon as the mission starts, I explode. ??? Does anyone have an idea why?

You need 16 flights to work, 8 for both sides.
Your flights need to be named properly.
If a mission is missing you get the 'Data corrupt' popup error message.
But I think you got some mod conflict or QMBpro bug too which prevents saving, not sure which.
Maybe some objects is in the mission which isnt in static.ini, just guessing.

I have 16 flights and when making them I use th A-20C as a default. Always worked before, then mission is named correctly, WWI_EnglishChannelRedNone00. It saves and shows in the QMB mission list. Click fly and the mission loads then... BOOM! I'm toast. :) No other mods in but what you have in there. I have not added anything to your folder.

Well you have added QMBpro. Maybe DBW1916 and QMBpro dont like each other. Probably one of the many bugs still hidden inside.
 I got no problems in stock QMB, no explosions, save/load works fine, I'm also able to modify these missions from the mods folder too.

I have no idea then. Maybe someone may figure it out if they have the same problem I'll just have hope someone makes some good QMB mission for the WWI maps. :)

Thanks for the help and very informative tips guys, they are much appreciated. Thanks !
I will get to the mission making thing later, right now I am trying to concentrate on painting some skins properly to
fit into the new aircraft in the new DBW-1916 mod. In all, I am counting 34+ skins that really need painting.
Right now, I am thinking like Marlon Brando playing the part of the "Godfather" (the first film) when he looks at the dead
body of his son laying in the morgue table and says, " Look at ma boy... look at what they done to my boy  :'( they
drilled him full of holes... His mother won´t even recognize him."  :(
Its not that the WW1 aircraft are wrong, far from it, they are very cool and also fly cool, it is those skins they have
right now.
Any skin that fits these aircraft just makes it feel like a "wacked" guy lying in a morgue table. The actual skins do fit
very well other aircraft that they were first painted for. They fit "other" airplane mods perfectly, but not these new ones.
I am looking at this thing and thinking, its all wrong, not good at all. The old skins and the new ones.
Must make new skins for these airplanes.
For a number of hours now I have been taking screenshots like crazy of every airplane, all angles and views.
Getting to know what is what and how these aircraft would look like in real life, if they were real. I have also been looking
through my books and seeing other aircraft built in WW1 and how they looked like. Where would all the mechanical parts
be placed properly on these airplanes for them to be (or look) "real".
So it is my honest opinion that all aircraft need new skins.
The only ones not needing skins to fit the airplane would be the big Bombers. Those are good.
But even Skippers Hansa/Machi seaplanes need a new skin, because the older mod-airplane had diferent wing
struts and these new ones are not the same design, so these skins don´t fit these new planes. So even they need
new skins too.
Yes, I know, that is alot of skins to paint and make new templates for. It´s 34+ aircraft!  ???
Anyway,
in good time it can all be done.
Must be patience about these things. I always try to be patience.
I have made in Photoshop a quick comparison image for you VP,  and anyone also interested in making new
skins in the future for these airplanes. Look at the angles on these images and how the original skins fit them and
notice what really needs to be fixed/painted properly on the skins.
So grab these images and put them in your files, you might want to look at them later.

Thanks Boomer, I will try my best to make this game something cool for everyone to enjoy
and for me too.
I have been looking into the aircraft folder files and checking out the Tga´s. (THANKS to VPmedia)
What skins were used and all the puzzles inside there, very interesting stuff.
They look like the 75+ skins I did for Beowulfs scout-planes and also the Hansa/Machi seaplanes for Skipper.
I have the master templates with skins for them. Well, I "think" I have sorted out the bits and pieces of some
airplanes by looking at the screnshots I have been taking.
I am about to start testing the first skin... if it don´t fit, I WILL USE A HAMMER AND NAILS!  ;D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I am back from a quick flight in the WW1 skies. It looks like I will be needing that hammer and nails afterall.
This particular aircraft (Fokker D-VII) has some big stretching done to its long nose and sides. Wings need some
fixing up and I have already removed the wire-holes and shadows from the previous skins. This is just a test skin
to see what I need to do with this airplane. This skin will not be released. Everything is wrong on it. Its a "test".
I use those losenge patterns and some bits n pieces to get my dimensions and size fixes for the good skins.
Anyway, here is a start...
as the famous Beatles song says, " I´ve got nothing to hide, except for me and my monkey!"
