Adding quick missions to DBW? SOLVED
« on: May 08, 2012, 04:57:15 PM »

Sorry I searched but couldnt find anything on this. I added the Wake retextured map and created a Wake_Dec_1941 folder in the quick folder, made a none mission for it and when I go to QMB the map shows in the map list but when I click fly nothing happens. Did I forget something?

Sorry, I've been a 4.09 rebel for so long the DBW is completely new to me.

Hi!

Normally when I made a mission I name it in the same way of the folder...for example:

EastFront_Crimea (missions folder) and EastFront_CrimeaBlueNoneA00.mis (mission file)

EastFront_CrimeaBlueNoneA00
EastFront_CrimeaBlueNoneD00
EastFront_CrimeaBlueNoneN00
...

Regards

Thats what I did but it wont work. Before in 4.09 if something was wrong i would get the "data corrupt" message but not in this.

Do you've made only one mission or a complete set of them?
Is it correct the load.ini path?
Any space between mission's name?
UP3+DBW?

I made a RedNone00 but not the blue. In 4.09 I could just make the red and it would work. Do I need both red and blue in DBW?

I'm not sure, but yes...so it seems to me. Normally I made the entire None set (blue and red).

Are you using Pablo's MissionProCombo? Give a try to the last one: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,24592.0.html

Solved. Thank you hguderian. The new QMB pro works and now I figured out my problem. I put the Wake folder in quick and not in the QMB Pro quick folder. In 4.09 missions went in the quick folder. Thank you for your help. :)

Ok, I thought I had this solved. I added the wake retextured map and mission yesterday and got it to work but now I added a SNARKJungle folder in the Quick QMBPRO folder but it wont show up in the qmb list of maps. In my missions folder I have a quick and a quick qmbpro folder but I can put a folder in either but they wont show up im my mission list but somehow the wake works. Any ideas?

Check if there're some inconsistencies/errors between map name-mission name.

You're using QMBPro so try to add this line in config.ini's bottom [Mods] section

PALQMBMissions=Missions/QuickQMBPro

P.s. Obviously when you put mission folder into Missions/QuickQMBPro you've restarted IL2 ;=))))

AFAIk this is already the default setting...but you can point your QMB to every folder you want...so also to the original Quick folder.

I didnt have a mods section in the config so I added it along with the line for qmb but it crashes my game at 60%
